Hi! I’m Michiko.
I was born and bred in a countryside near Nikko where is blessed with not only the gorgeous natural scenery including waterfalls, mountains and hot springs but also the magnificent architectures such as Tosho-gu shrine that is a mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the warlord who took control of Japan and established the shogunate that ruled for more than 250 years of peaceful period.
Why don’t you explore the spiritual mountainous area designated as the World Heritage Sites with me?
After I grew up, I lived in Tokyo and neighboring prefecture, Saitama areas about forty years.
So I can show you around “Don’t Miss Sights” ranging from traditional and tranquil places to lively places in these areas. It is the best season to enjoy cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Saitama areas from the middle of March to the middle of April. Just contact me and join my tour.
I’ll try to take you where you want to go as far as possible and help you create the best memories during your stay in Japan.
I am interested in Japanese nature, history, culture and food.
Especially, I love Bonsai, potted trees that have condensed an ideal natural landscape.
Let's go on an English tour of Omiya Bonsai Art Museum and Bonsai Gardens in Bonsai Village with me.

We spent two days with Michiko in Kamakura and Nikko. She did a fantastic job of organizing our time and sharing her knowledge and love of these beautiful places! It was a pleasure to work with Michiko.
Thank you for your kind review. I was impressed by your excellent empathy skills being based on your attitude trying to see things from a different perspective. I believe people like you make the world peace!
Michiko met us promptly at the start of our tour and showed the schedule and said she is very flexible and can move things around. This actually happened because of bad weather conditions and with our approval, she suggested changes that reversed the morning itinerary with the evening. It was a long and busy day and crammed with activities as per my suggestions and Michiko kept us on track and allowed a lot of time for us to enjoy each site. Though English is not her native language, we were able to communicate with her fairly effectively. I would definitely use her services the next time I am in Japan.
Thank you for your kind words! They encouraged me a lot. I’ve not been confident in my English. However, I’m a nationally licensed English tour guide and medical interpreter with a certificate of the highest grade in the English proficiency test. Come to think of it, I have no time to despair. I’ll continue practicing English everyday slow but sure to help my guests make their dreams come true. Again, thank you for your kindness!
Michiko is a heart warming person. She is very attentive , kind and generous. She took us to all the places we requested. She is fun and knowledgeable. We were happy to have her as our guide.
Thank you for your review. It’s encouraged me a lot to carry out nice tours for future guests. I’m on the Shinkansen to go back home from the final route check in Hakone (near Mt. Fuji) for the tour expected the next week. Hakone has an amazing “onsen”, hot springs. Let’s go there next time!
Michiko tries very hard and does her homework to prepare for her tours. Her lunch suggestions were really great and we appreciated that very much.
Thank you for your review, Veronica. It will be my great motivation for future tours! I always do my best for my guests. I hope you all have refreshed yourselves at the magnificent views of waterfalls and architecture in Nikko and a sea breeze in a Japan’s old capital, Kamakura.
My husband and I spent two days with Michiko and had a wonderful time. Always so cheerful and full of energy, she took care of us in every way. Her knowledge of the Japanese culture made these tours the more interesting, as was her choice of lunch menu. Thank you Michiko, till we meet again.
It was nice talking with you. The Kamakura shogunate was the country's first "samurai" government established in the end of the 12th century. The town is surrounded by mountains and facing the Sagami-bay on the south. That's why the place is called "a natural fortress". I think Zen temples including Kenchoji which is well-known for its quiet simplicity and fortitude must have supported "samurai" who need extraordinary powers of concentration and decisiveness. I hope you have a good time in Japan!
