In this full day private guided tour we’ll make a fascinating journey through the History of Art from the 13th to the 20th century, visiting the 3 most important painting and art museums of Madrid and Spain. We’ll be able to contemplate the major periods and schools of western art, from the Renaissance through Mannerism, Baroque, Rococo, Romanticism and the art of the 19th and 20th centuries to Pop Art. We’ll marvel at works from some movements such as Impressionism, Fauvism, German Expressionism and the experimental avant-garde movements of the early 20th century, and discover an important collection of 19th-century American painting which is unique among European museums.

We will walk from one museum to another as they are within walking distance. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. Taking pictures and carrying large backpacks are not allowed in the Prado Museum. Photography without flash is allowed in the Reina Sofía Museum, except in the Picasso area of Guernica.
