Hi! I have lived in and around Tokyo for over 10 years.
I specialize in traditional Japanese culture, like Japanese tea ceremony and calligraphy. I also like to go and watch traditional Japanese stage performances, like Kabuki, even though I haven't had enough time so far. I’m enthusiastic about introducing popular tourist spots as well as cultural ones almost across Japan. Actually, I’m not good at spoken English and directions, but I’ve been trying to do my best. I try to upgrade knowledge about inbound tourism and my communicative skills in English.
I can't live without cheap-but-DELICIOUS-local foods and Japanese sweets! Also, I'm good at discovering 'hidden gems,' including deep sightseeing spots, restaurants, cafes, and even washrooms!
If you want me to customize your private tour in Japan, let me help you. If you book my guided tour in and around Tokyo, I'll do my best so you will be happy! I've never asked my clients for giving any reviews on the service I did. So, if you have some questions about my competence as a tour guide, please free to ask anytime!
I never accept Direct Booking before I present you a tour plan with estimated cost.
I'd appreciate it if you'd understand this.
I really look forward to seeing you soon! :-D
My schedule of this year 2022 has NOT been finalized.
When you need me for your trip in Japan, please check my tour page named “Customized Tour for You” before inquires. In which you’ll guess how you’ll be guided and how much it’ll cost you in addition to guide fees.
After the first contact from you, I’ll ask you some questions. For example, what are you MOST INTERESTED in Japan? Are you good walkers? Would you tell me your food preferences?
It won’t take you so long. I just need some information for making better plans. I’d appreciate it if you’d give me such information at first contact. Then it may save your time and energy.
After presenting you the first tour plan, you can ask me to revise the itinerary only once. I’d appreciate it if you’d read it very well before you ask me questions.
To avoid misunderstanding or trouble with you, I never accept Direct Booking.

“A Great time spending 4 Days being guided by Akemi in Tokyo ”
Akemi was an excellent guide, she spent a lot of time planning ,organising and suggesting places to visit and planning our tour of Tokyo, she is fluent in English, very caring and lovely company. She kept us very busy visiting as many places as possible in our 4 days. We would highly recommend Akemi to anyone who needs a guide in Japan.

(3 reviews)Hello Chris and Marjorie, Thank you for your warmest comments that I have ever had! The necklace reminds me of you and I’ll put it on for today’s guided tour! Again, I’m not 100% sure if I really satisfied you during those 4 days. On the 3rd day when we visited Imperial Palace Grounds, it was heavily rainy and a bit colder than days before. However, thanks to your kindness and patience, the day tour ended safely. Thank you again and unfortunately I’m leaving this website soon, and focus on other travel agencies, but hope you’ll be back to somewhere in Japan again! Warmest Regards, Akemi

(3 reviews)Hello Tuan, I’ve been missing you all! How have you been? Did you enjoy your stay in other places in Japan? Thank you for your review on my tour! I didn’t expect I would get such a high good review! I’m sorry that we had to skip Akihabara in Tokyo & the Shinkyo Bridge in Nikko. Also, I guess you were disappointed we could see less Autumn leaves at Kegon Waterfalls. Also, I appreciated your feedback about my spoken English! I’ll definitely improve it so everyone will be more interested in Japan! Anyway, did you get those photos I took in Nikko Toshogu Shrine? If not, please let me know. Hope you’re all well and say hello to the others, please! Respectfully, Akemi
