About

Dear friends,

I was born in Tokyo and brought up in Yokohama, near Tokyo. All my ancestors were born in Tokyo for more than 300 years, as long as I know. I’ve been working in the field of education for a long time enjoying communicating with people of different generations, ethnic backgrounds, men & women, dogs, cats, birds and flowers, fish…….

Now, are you wondering about making your tour schedule ?

“I want to see cherry blossoms in Japan, but they die away so quickly…its’ over? Oh? Can I see them in Hakone, but, is Hakone far and also crowded? Umm….’’

“I want to see Tokyo, but the bay area in Yokohama looks charming, too. Can I see both? The time I can spend there is limited, umm….”

“Can I have some unique experience or workshop in Tokyo, not just a well-known sightseeing tour?”

If so, please let me know. I’ll suggest the following plan, as an example:

Day 1: (Afternoon) Half day tour in Tokyo; (Evening) Bay side cruise in Yokohama

Day 2: (Start early in the morning to Hakone)

Day 3: There are 2 choices: 1st option- Stay overnight in Hakone, enjoying hot springs, viewing gorgeous Mt. Fuji in the evening and early in the following morning (and move to Kyoto from Odawara station if you’re planning on the following day)/ 2nd option- Come back to Tokyo after the day trip and enjoy some unique cultural experiences.

Looking forward to seeing you in Japan, Ai

Yokohama, Old and New

Yokohama
4 hours

Yokohama is a lovely city where port and big town coexists. It was the first place in Japan to open up to foreign trade after ending isolationist economic policy in 1854. It is now the second largest city in Japan, though, it still keeps laid-back lifestyles; people enjoy eating out at China Town or walking along the water front.

Onsen (hot spring bath) experience in Hakone

Hakone
5 hours

Try a real Onsen in quiet Hakone! As Onsen is not the place for cleaning but the place for relaxation, you should know some etiquette before you bathe in, but it's really worth experiencing it. We'll enjoy 2-hour-drive to southern part of Lake Ashi after Onsen. You may be able to see gorgeous Mt. Fuji if weather is good.

Amazing Day Tour

Ai helped us cover much more of Tokyo in one day than we could have ever done ourselves. We whizzed through subway stations from one corner of Tokyo to the next. I can't believe all the amazing sights she was able to take us to in one day! We laughed a lot and shared many travel stories. Ai did a great job and we are very happy.

Hello Marc, Thank you for writing the topmost review! We were happy we had a great sunny day, which made our long walk and talk in November cosy and comfortable. Please have a safe trip back to your home. Hoping to see you someday, somewhere again. Best regards, Ai

Wonderful Hakone Experience

Ai-san was lovely and sweet. She was very accommodating since the initial planning of the tour all the way till we parted ways. Ai was very knowledgeable of all the tour sites, and also took us to local spots. I hope to work with her again.

Dear Ling, Thank you for your top grading!! It is my part to say “Thank you”. I’ve actually realized we could deeply enjoy Hakne even without Mt. Fuji…it was foggy that day….”if we have a great companion”. The time we shared talking over the healthy non-alcoholic Amazake ( sweet fermented rice drink) at a 400-year-old tea house by the old cider trail was really something I’ll never forget. May you both have a brilliant future together. Ai

Ai is not just a great tour guide but also a lovely and caring person. She went out of her way to accommodate and help us with innovative ideas for our Tokyo tour as per our needs and requirements. Will definitely recommend her anytime and will be calling on her on our next trip to Japan next year. She is really the best! Thank you Ai.

Hello I, S, A and A, I can’t find a word to express how I thank you for your extra-super comments. I also enjoyed myself with your beautiful family. Yes, be sure to meet again next year in Japan. Enjoy the rest of your days and have a safe trip back to U.S. Ai

Good memories

I appreciate the kindness to pick me up although hotel is a little far from downtown. I enjoyed conversation with Ai, she is an intelligent and friendly woman, she shared history of Yokohama and I enjoyed conversation walking around the beautiful seaside. Actually, purpose of this guide trip was learning something new as I wanted to hear real story and I think this trip was worth for it. Thank you for sharing and making good memories.

Dear Youngsun Thank you for your good rating. It was nice talking with a young lady like you from Korea, which reminded me of my good old days with my Korean friend; chatting, laughing, sharing long evening with talking and studying. Sorry it took too long before we finally found a best evening view around the Minato-mirai area. Hoping you’ll have a brilliant future ahead of you. Best regards, Ai.
