Aomori (Living)

Today
Hi! My name is Toru. I am a certified English speaking tour guide in Japan and I have lived in the United States for 11 years.
I am a thoughtful, easy-going person who knows how to entertain guests with a great sense of humor and knowledge of Japanese culture.
My main guiding area is Aomori prefecture (northern tip of the main island).
Aomori is well known for its summer festival called the "Nebuta". At this festival, massive lantern floats illustrating various forms are paraded through the streets of Aomori city. Taiko drummers, flute musicians and Nebuta dancers go along with the floats enhancing the livelihood of the festival.
Besides the festival, Aomori has many things to offer such as cherry blossoms at Hirosaki castle, Jormon ruins, Oirase gorge and much more. Also, Aomori is famous for its delicious apples and abundance of seafood.
Currently I live in Aomori prefecture but I was born and raised in Osaka city. Therefore, I am familiar with the Kansai region (western part of Japan), especially Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. There are so many old temples, shrines, and other historically significant structures in this region. I know where to go, what to see and delicious foods only known to the locals.
I can be accommodating of your tour plan and aim to exceed your specific needs.
I'm sure to be able to provide you with a memorable trip during your stay in Japan.
