Hi everyone! My name is Lisa.
Thank you very much for checking out my profile.
I am originally from Osaka, Japan, and completed my Bachelor’s Degree from Kyoto Prefecture University in architecture. During my stay in Kyoto I volunteered as a tour guide for foreign visitors.
After graduation I moved to Tokyo and worked in the marketing and promotions field. On weekends I continued to work as a tour guide volunteer in Tokyo.
I have also studied at the University of California, Irvine and worked for a tech company in Anaheim California. It was great oppotuniay for me to see Japan from foreigner's perspective.
My happiness for meeting new people and learning my own culture through guiding foreign visitors kept increasing and that made me decide to become a professional tour guide.
I offer tailor-made tours for individuals or groups. I have met a lot of wonderful people through tour guiding and look forward to the many more friends I will make.
My strength is the stock of Japan's historical and architectural knowledge, which I believe makes your Japan experience fun and interesting especially when you are visiting Japan's old capitals.
During my tour I will share with you historical contents of places or structures you are visiting so that you can understand the reason why you meet present Japan. I have friendly and mindful nature which will make your Japan experience greater!

“Excellent Tour Guide”
Our experience with Lisa was nothing short of excellent, Lisa has the 3 most important characteristics someone may look for in a tour guide. Primarily, she SHOWS you the sights you want to see. She doesn’t just take you to them, she shows you them, taking you to the site, showing you the best picture spots and best food. She steers you away from tourist traps and guides you along the best paths showing you everything you wanted to see and more that you don’t find online. Many times we found ourselves away from all of the crowds and in pristine photo taking opportunities. Secondly, she answers all of the questions you may have, especially in regards to historical or cultural aspects of your trip. Even random questions about certain cultural sites Lisa was ready to answer as if she had been preparing for our questions. Thirdly, she is timely, she shows up early and doesn’t ever have us waiting for her, and more importantly she keeps us on time. We didn’t miss any of our reservations and were able to shift our schedule to make all of our planned visits thanks to her help and time keeping abilities. All in all, we had an excellent time with Lisa and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an informative, and timely trip with someone who treats you like an old college friend you haven’t seen in a few years.

Liza was able to fulfill our goal in visiting Nara down to taking the Aoyoniyoshi sightseeing train. She’s very patient indulging my 11 years old boy with his incessant talking. A very pleasant guide.

Liza started to help us to arrange the tour and provided very detailed information for us to decide the itinerary. The food and restaurant she recommended is excellent and we have an enjoyable lunch with her as well as the a nice chat with the chef of the restaurant, making us feeling like to become a Kyoto people. It’s great for us to understand the real culture and daily custom of Kyoto people.
