About Tour Guide Kazuo F.
Are you interested in Japanese culture?
My name is Kazuo. Please call me Kazuo or cousin. I am a licensed tour guide-interpreter of English. I was born and grown in western Japan, and live in Tokyo in the last decade.
I was an engineer of vacuum evaporation, in which Aluminum was deposited onto PET films. These films are converted to bags for snacks or retort-packed foods. In those days, I had practiced guiding as a volunteer. Now I am specialized in a guide, after a retirement.
I had been loved art and literature. In my younger days, 30 years ago, I visited a Christmas store in San Francisco and a gothic church in West Germany in occasions of business travel. I was deeply impressed by such different of cultures. Since then, I studied western culture and English. I read novels in English and watched English news in CNN and BBC. Kurt Vonnegut and Kazuo Ishiguro are my favorite. I sometimes cook a dinner using a recipe of New York Times.
My another pleasure is travel. I visited Europe many times by business travel and my own. Every time, I was satisfied by my own itinerary plan. I expect such experience help you enjoy Japan. I have understood western culture compering with that of Japan. These different cultures have common elements as basic way of human thinking, and distinctive results by different situation. I like to offer such view points for Japanese culture.
My intended fields are art, history, architectures and Japanese gardens. Please inquire about your interests.

“Excellent, knowledgebale guide!”
Kazuo is really a gentleman, his English is excellent ,and his historical and cultural knowledge of Japan are excellent. Our group was 4 adults and we spent a day with Kazuo seeing incredible places hat would have been very hard to find by ourselves. Kazuo did a lot of research for our trip and he was an excellent guide. I would not hesitate to hire him again, and I highly recommend him! Lastly, our guide took us to a very reasonably priced Japanese restaurant that had very good food for about $10 a person. Kazuo really listens to what you say you want to do, and he is very flexible. We spent a whole day with him and will definitely book with him again!

(2 reviews)Jane, I really appreciate such a good evaluation to me. Your requirements were basic knowledge of Japanese history and culture, and preparation for your own stroll in Tokyo later. According to these criteria, I gathered visiting sites in nearby area and stacked into the tour. As my prospect may have been rather optimistic, the time was nearly running out. But the delay was suppressed by your suggestion. All of you seemed to enjoy the tour. It was a wonderful experience also for me. I deeply thank you and am looking forward to next guide for you.
