I’ve been working as a guide all over the world. But each time I came home to dear old Utrecht I realized: this is the place I want to live. To share this feeling with others is a privilege.

As a historian in an old town like Utrecht I’m a bit like Charlie in the Chocolatefactory, but I have learned from experience that guests are interested in past ánd present. So I try to show my guests as well what life is like in The Netherlands. Buscards and bycicles. Food and groceries. Culture and politics.

I always hope that at the end of a tour my guests have a bit of an idea what Utrecht is all about. Past and present!
