About Tour Guide Mari K.
Travelling is a great thing to do. Learning about other cultures and customs expands our perspectives in life. I would like to share with you Japanese culture and history.
First, please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a full-time national licensed tour guide. I studied Japanese Art History when I was a student at a university, Tokyo. I experienced working at multinational companies for more than 20 years and worked as a travel coordinator for years.
I have been conducting private tours around Tokyo for more than 200 times and received excellent reviews from my guests. I usually offer a tailor-made tour upon the request of my customers. One thing that I love to do is letting my guests experience the old things and modern things in Tokyo. I have been providing tours to major sightseeing spots, including Asakusa, Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Ginza, Shibuya, etc. As one of my hobbies is appreciation of Art works, I specialize art tours visiting traditional and contemporary art galleries.
Everyone loves Tokyo. The people are polite, the food is incredible, the cultural heritage sites are stunning, and the shopping is one of the best in the world. So I'm sure that your stay here will be memorable and fun.

“We enjoyed the tour of Yanaka”
Mari seemed knowledgeable and while very nice and accommodating, she is somewhat quiet or perhaps a bit shy. Her English was not always easy to understand but it helped when she spoke louder. I suggest you ask questions and I think you will get more helpful information from her. She picked us up at our hotel and was very punctual. At our request she took us through Yanaka and we enjoyed a tea ceremony, albeit somewhat abbreviated. She also made sure that we got back to our hotel.

“Everything was great.”
Everything about being with Mari for the day was great. She showed me all the things I had wanted to see and even added a trip to the Pokemon store since we were ahead of schedule when we got to Shibuya. My daughter loves the cards I was able to pick up for her. The card Mari gave me at the beginning of the tour will always be a special reminder of my day and helps me remember to mention all the things I saw that day when telling people about my trip. I was able to navigate the subways when we were done, and I just got way more out of my trip than I would have if I had not had a guide. If you are only going to be in Tokyo for a couple of days like I was, you absolutely should hire a guide and Mari is great choice. -- Jay

“Great Time in Tokyo With Mari!”
My family has two kids ages 5 and 2 that make us a very challenging match for a guide. Mari customized a wonderful 3-day Tokyo tour itinerary centered around my kids and we all had a great time.
