An approach path to Omiya Hikawa Shrine
The name of place, Omiya literally means a great shrine, which derives from Omiya Hikawa Shrine. It takes about 15 minutes from JR Omiya station to the approach path of the shrine. Along the appoach path, as you walk to the north, you are reaching the sacred area. After a visit to the shrine, through Omiya Park, you are to walk into the quiet residential area, nearby Bonsai village. Bonsai village was originally located in Tokyo. After the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, the group of growers of Bonsai moved to the current Bonsai village in the Omiya district from the devastated capital to seek clean water and air. In my tour, Bonsai village & neighboring optional tour, you feel relaxed while walking on the route. Why don't you join me?
