Natural taste and woody appearance
Kaminari Mon, the thunder gate is a landmark of Asakusa. Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center is located in front of the thunder gate across the street. It was completed in 2012, designed by a famous architecht, Kengo Kuma. Mr. Kuma is well known for a designer of a main stadium of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. His thoughts about architecture are to represent Japanese spirit, so the main stadium of the Olympic Games is being built by a lot of wood.
