Hoshino Resort Tomamu is famous for winter skiing and sea of the cloud in summer.
But it also has a popular Ice Village. This one started in 1998, so it's the oldest ice park.
It has many domes, skating rink and church made of ice. It opens from 5pm to 10pm, and from mid December to mid March.
If you want to visit, there is a train or bus. If you go by the train, you have to get on an Airport Liner from New Chitose Airport, then transfer a Limited Express Train at Minami-Chitose Station. After getting to Tomamu, the shuttle bus will pick you up. So, you have to book it in advance.
If you use a bus, there is a direct bus from New Chitose Airport.
