Meeting Point
Parque Colón, Zona Colonial in front of the statue.
- Parque Colón, Zona Colonial (in front of the statue of Christopher Columbus) We will meet at 9:00 AM at Parque Colón, right in front of the central statue. I will be there waiting to welcome you and introduce the tour. Please note that I will wait until 9:30 AM for all participants. After that time, the tour will begin to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. If you have any trouble finding the location, feel free to contact me in advance.
Cathedral of Santa María la Menor (First Cathedral of the Americas)
We begin at Parque Colón, where you will admire the first cathedral of the New World and learn about the early days of Santo Domingo and its religious significance.
Calle Las Damas (The Oldest Street in the Americas)
We will walk through this historic street, discovering stories of Spanish nobles, colonial life, and the origins of the first European city in the Americas.
Alcázar de Colón (Residence of Diego Columbus)
Visit the former palace of Diego Columbus and explore the lifestyle of one of the most important families of the colonial era.
Plaza de España (Cultural & Photographic Spot
Enjoy a wide open space perfect for photos while learning about the transformation of this area into one of the most vibrant spots in the Colonial Zone.
Fortaleza Ozama (First Military Fortress in the Americas)
Duration: 30–40 minutes
Discover the military history of Santo Domingo and explore this iconic fortress overlooking the Ozama River.
Local Café Break (Relax & Experience the Atmosphere)
45–60 minutes
To complete the experience, we will take a relaxing break at a local café where you can enjoy the surroundings, take photos, and ask questions.

• This is a walking tour, so comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
• The tour lasts approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.
• Not recommended for people with severe mobility issues or difficulty walking long distances.
• Please bring water, sunscreen, and a hat, as the weather can be hot.
• Some areas may have uneven surfaces or cobblestone streets.

• The tour will start on time. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 5–10 minutes early.
• I will wait until 9:30 AM; after that, the tour will begin.
