Being so hight is good to wear warm clothing and like in Andes mountains change weather suddenly please take waterproof gear with you, make sure to put sun cream on, and wear comfortable shoes if it is waterproof much better.

I am a guide since 1997 start working with metropolitan touring a big company here in Ecuador then have a better chance working as a tour leader and guiding American students groups coming from different universities from US, this give me good experience managing big groups and logistics, then a new company contact me but they want to work same as you with very local guides and private small groups here in south of Ecuador, am working with them since 15 year ago at least but yes I really would like to experience other tourism fields hope to see you soon
