Meeting Point

Your hotel in Kigali Rwanda

- The meeting point is flexible within Kigali, including your hotel, residence, or Kigali International Airport. I will confirm the exact pickup location and time with you in advance to ensure smooth coordination. On the day of the tour, I will meet you at your hotel reception or at the airport arrivals area, holding a sign with your name for easy identification. Early morning pickup is recommended for this tour to maximize wildlife viewing time in Akagera National Park.

Check-in at Akagera National park

Early morning pick-up (around 4:30–5:00 AM) from your hotel or Kigali International Airport in Kigali. Transfer to Akagera National Park (approx. 2.5 hours), arriving early for optimal wildlife viewing.

Morning game drive through the southern and central savannah zones, with opportunities to spot elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a chance for predators such as lions and leopards.

Lunch

Midday break for lunch at a lodge or picnic site inside the park.

Afternoon game drive exploring northern areas and lakes, increasing chances to see rhinos and a variety of bird species, especially around wetlands.

Late afternoon

Leave and return drive to Kigali.

Drop-off at your hotel or airport in the evening.

* The tour involves long hours in a safari vehicle; basic comfort with extended drives is recommended.

* Wildlife sightings, including the Big Five, cannot be guaranteed but chances are high with proper timing and routing.

* Please bring a valid ID or passport, as it may be required at park entry.

* Wear comfortable clothing in neutral colors and closed shoes suitable for a safari environment.

* Bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen), drinking water, and a camera/binoculars for better viewing.

* Weather can vary; a light jacket is recommended for early morning and evening hours.

* Lunch can be arranged at a lodge or as a packed meal—please advise any dietary requirements in advance.

* This tour is suitable for most travelers but may not be ideal for those with serious back problems due to road conditions.
