We talk about the history, the architecture, the art but also todays culture and life. Welcome to the province of DALARNA and the city of FALUN - my hometown as well! Let me open up the doors to my country, the culture and the history on our walks. My roots are in the country side, the province of Dalarna, where I am a qualified tourist guide. This is where one of the symbols of Sweden is made, the Dalahorse. Falun is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE, let me take you around in the area, to the painter Carl Larsson's home and museum, to the village of Sundborn and to the city of Falun. This is where the red paint used on som many houses in Sweden comes from and where art, fairy tales, industry and nature blends into one. Or if in Stockholm, why not join me to Skansen Park in Stockholm and hear about old and new traditions from Dalarna and other parts. I am a qualified tourist guide in Stockholm as well. Welcome to the university town of UPPSALA - where vikings, scholars and Kings meet. The old ancient history at Old Uppsala will come to live at the museum, we will admire the runestones, visit the cathedral as well as the university library. A day full of history!

Hej! My name is Sophie and I am a true Stockholmer - born and raised in the beautiful capital of Sweden. I am currently becoming an Authorized Stockholm Guide (finishing in March, if everything goes as planned). I have 4+ years experience working as a Guide in Stockholm and have done everything from Private Tours, Old Town Tours, City Tours to Bike Tours, Bus Tours, Segway Tours. Throughout the years, I have had the pleasure to work with both companies as well as individual bookings, where I have encountered people and made friends from all over the big wide world. Language wise, I have mostly worked with German speaking tourism, but naturally also quite a lot of English speaking groups. My family is spread out all over: Sweden (far up in the northern woods) / Netherlands / Peru / France / Finland / Germany, so there are quite a few languages I speak and understand on varied levels - although tour wise I am sticking to German and English (and Swedish of course)! Why should I guide you? Well, I am first of all local: raised in the City neighborhood of Östermalm, so if there is something I know in life - it's Stockholm! Furtheron, I am experienced and have many years not only in tourism behind me, working as a Guide. As a person I am very flexible and service minded. My concept is very simple: Tell me where you want to go and I will make it happen! No thought or dream is too big. 200 years ago, us Swedes had an American Dream - today, my wish is that your Swedish Dream will come true! My goal is to give you the best experience possible in Stockholm and for you to revisit Sweden many, many times. In 2021 I started as a tourist guide in Gothenburg and its surrondings. This is the year I formally authorized after eight months of theoretical studies and practical training. In my youth I worked for Atlas Travel, Sweden for five years, and guided up to 60 people during many excursions. Lived and worked abroad in seven locations (including Tunisia, Chamonix, Paris and London). Since 2021 I have guided many walking tours, bus tours, private groups and tourist groups. My languages are Swedish and English. I also speak German and French but haven't authorised in those languages yet. My future plan is to do so. Since four years I have taken seven courses in Gothenburg University in historic Sweden and west Sweden history. I worked for 28 years with AstraZeneca; a global biopharmaceutical company. My main roles were; section/group manager, project manager, quality strategist. March 2022 to August 2025 I worked in the Västra Götaland region with inspiring research and innovation in primary care.
