I studied in Wisconsin, USA and worked as a translator/interpreter, market researcher, and executive assistant for global companies for many years where I enjoyed spending a precious time with people from different backgrounds and cultures and broaden my world and horizons. I am also a hiker, kayaker, scuba diver, and snowboarder enjoying myself mostly outdoors in every season. Besides city tours in Osaka and Kyoto, my tours can stretch to introducing local food and drinks, sake/beer brewery visit, visiting less-touristy areas, excursions to enjoy the nature such as walking/hiking tours, baseball games, tours for kids, onsen day-out, and more! I used to be a high school English teacher at the public high school in Hokkaido. I retired from an English teacher 6 years ago and I got a license of the national government licensed guide interpreter. I live in a small city named Abashiri, which is located in the eastern part of Hokkaido island, Japan and very rich in nature. Abashiri is surrounded by natural beauty such as lakes, rivers and mountains. I like to go hiking in the mountains near our city all year round. In spring, we can see beautiful peaks crwoned with remaining snow, in summer there are a lot of alpine flowers, in autumn we can see gorgeous autumn colors and in winter we can enjoy snowshoeing in the small mountains on sunny days and seeing beautiful Okhotsk Sea covered with drift ice. I would like you to enjoy walking in the forests while hearing birds singing. I hope you will have a chace to enjoy some of them. I can help you spend wonderful time here. Abashiri offers you not only natural beauty but also some interesting museums which specialize in northern minorities such as Ainu, Inuit and Eskimo. Also, there is a drift ice museum where you can touch some drift ice in the very cold room (-15 degrees Celsius) even in summer. You will have a great time visiting those small museums.

Greeting from Izu ,shizuoka prefecture, a city just 1.5 hours from Tokyo. I am Hiroko Inamura, a national licensed tour guide. I was born in Numazu and live in Nirayama, located at north part of Izu Peninsula, surrounded by beautiful seas and mountains, and at the top of it all, Mt.Fuji: a truly lovely and amazing Mountain. I am lucky to see Mt.Fuji from my room everyday ! Since I studied and lived in Perth, Australia and Barcelona, Spain, and traveled over 35 countries, I am fluent in English and do speak Spanish that is very useful fie me to communicate with guests from abroad. I love travelling and look for something different and special to introduce for my guests that they haven't experienced before. Izu is the place if you want something more! And yet we Japanese seem to have kept it to ourselves: you see only few foreign visitors here! Visiting the top and center of Izu areas, you constantly meet Japanese traditional and rural world , visit to a wasabi water-field, it's great fun!- and you can experience "wasabi picking " or "wasabi pickle making " during the season, you can do "Japanese tea picking" , ,wearing the special traditional tea picking Kimono! There are many more attractive sits such as Banjo Fall, Joren fall in Amagi and lots more to make your day memorable. This area is great during the seasons of autumn leaves and cherry blossom. And what you can't miss our on is a visit to the oldest hot-springs resort in Izu: the really beautiful Shuzenji. Walking around the town , , ,exploring historical and traditional sits and the grate Bamboo Grove Path remind you of "the good old days". This is the town described as "the little Kyoto "and designated as one of the best visiting place in Japan by the Michelin guide book. I have just mentioned a few of many other attractive places in this area . I am very happy to introduce you what you can see,do and eat here in Izu and its surrounding areas and I promise you to have wonderful memories !

Hi. I'm Lee! I was born and raised in Seoul, and lived in five different countries, Canada, US, Australia, Russia and Germany. I also traveled over 40 countries mostly alone. I studied Business in Seoul with a year exchange program in US, and completed MBA in Sydney. After MBA I wanted to pursue a career change as a professor with my field experience. I was a Market researcher, Research analyst and Marketer in big companies. Highly paying and stable job. It was what many called a good life. But I always liked to be in the nature better than the office. I hiked Kilimanjaro summit alone, Annapurna Base Camp alone, Olympus alone, Everest Base Camp, Fuji, Alps alone and many other mountains in the world. (Alone means literally alone or with a guide. In some countries you must hire a guide). Also I've led a hiking club over 4 years and fly overseas more than 5 times per year and hike. So I decided to have my own travel agency and operate hiking and city tours. Most of my tours are of food and hiking. Now I can hike even more often, have good food with travelers and practice calligraphy everyday which I love too. 70% of Korea is mountainous and amazingly beautiful. And the food is so yummy!
