G’day! I’m originally from Brisbane, Australia.
I’ve been calling Nagano home since 1997, just prior to the ‘98 Nagano Winter Olympics.
The history and traditions of rural areas such as Nagano continue to amaze me. There’s so much to see and experience you really need a few days to truly get a feel for this unique area.
My aim is to provide you with experiences that I hope will remain as ever lasting memories for the rest of your life. Some tour options include; getting up close with the world famous snow monkeys, praying at one of Japan’s most significant temples - Zenkoji temple, feeling the tranquility of the mountain shrines in Togakushi, exploring the final resting place of Japan’s best known artist - Hokusai in the historic township of Obuse, climbing to the top of one of the few truly traditional remaining castles nicknamed “the crow” in Matsumoto, seeing how wasabi is grown in Azumino, being taken in by the breathtaking views of the Alps surrounding much of the area, sampling local foods such as Oyaki dumplings or Soba noodles, or trying a tipple of sake.
It’ll be my absolute pleasure in sharing my local knowledge with you. I’ll be able to coordinate a tour to include your desires within the allocated time.
