A trip to the Iskanderkul lake through the Anzob pass through the 5-kilometer Istiklol tunnel. All the way from Dushanbe you will enjoy sceneries of Fann mountains, and Varzob Gorge.

According to legend, Lake Iskanderkul was named after Alexander the Great, known in the East as Iskander. It is said that the path of Alexander the Great to India passed through this lake. There are also operating boats on which you can take a boat tour of the lake. It is 2.5 km long and 1 km across, and the depth is 70 m.
Visit Snake lake that is located in just some steps away from Iskanderkul lake. Here you will have best view of Iskanderkul lake from the top and nice view of Snake lake itself.
After that, you will walk to a 50-meter waterfall, which the locals compare with Niagara and call the Fann Niagara (Niagara Fana).
Return back to Dushanbe, to your place
After visiting the lake, we return to Dushanbe.
