This walking tour examines the demographics, theories & personal stories comprising the dire events of 1692. You'll see many of the locations full of witch trial history. The tour will shed new light on what happened during the infamous witchcraft hysteria which turned neighbor against neighbor. Learn about the events leading up to the hysteria, how it started, stories of those involved that include perspective from the accused, judges and bystanders and how the trials came to a halt.

This is the location of the first church and we will discuss the church's role.
Discuss Judge John Hathorne and his role in the trials.
Sewall was the clerk of the witchcraft court and the reverend's daughter stayed with him during the trials.
This is the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin. We'll discuss the role of the judges
We'll discuss the jailing process and how it worked.
We'll discuss the proceedings and how they went awry.
We'll tell Bridget's story, origin's of English's church, the condition of the jail and how the crushed a man
We'll end at the Witchcraft Memorial and discuss the symbolism of the location
