“3-day tour around Dilijan, Sevan, Garni, ending in Victory Park, Yerevan ”
Mihran is incredibly knowledgeable and has an impressive command of Armenian history, culture, and geography, down to very precise details. His academic background in History truly shows, and we learned many interesting facts from him, even about places like Lake Sevan. He is also a patient and steady driver; we were comfortable during long drives, which is not always the case with every guide. There are a few areas where improvement would enhance the overall experience. Time management, punctuality, and communication could be better. Some pre-tour questions about logistics and recommendations went unanswered. During the tour, there was a car accident (not Mihran's fault) and the wait took 1.5 hours. While we understand unfortunate situations do happen, clearer communication about what was happening / how long we might be expected to wait and how it may impact the rest of the day / tour would have helped manage our expectations better. In terms of personal preference, Mihran's style is calm and low-energy. Travellers who enjoy enthusiastic or high-engagement guiding may find the experience different from what they’re used to. Overall, if you’re looking for a highly knowledgeable Armenian driver-guide with extensive historical insights, super laid back style - Mihran would be a good fit. With some improvements in communication and pacing, the experience could be better.
