The Southern Circuit of the Cathedral Ranges, is a stunning ridgeline walk taking you to some of the Cathedrals most beautiful lookouts. This is considered one of Victoria's greatest day hikes. It is a 13km grade 5 (difficult) hike over rocky terrain with some steep sections but you will be greeted by some of Victoria's most breath-taking views making this a must hike when visiting Victoria. We will visit Wells Cave and climb some of the majestic rock walls.

You bring your own hiking gear.
This is a day hike around the Cathedral Ranges State Park. This is wild land so be aware that we can come in contact with animals and snakes. So it is important to take all necessary precautions and respect the wildlife we may come into contact with.
You will be required to carry your own food, drink and any hiking gear you want to bring. I would recommend comfortable and durable shoes, backpack and water as essentials. It is probably a good idea to bring an electrolyte drink as sweating will deplete your body of minerals. Dress comfortably.
Their are toilets at Sugarloaf Saddle Car Park and Cook's Mill Camp Grounds but no where else throughout the hike.
Their will be some basic rock climbing required in this hike and an optional cave route which requires you to be comfortable in confined spaces.
There are obviously certain hazards when hiking which is explained in an indemnity form you will need to understand and sign prior to hiking.
We have two vehicles we use for transport based on number of people. There is a 2023 Suzuki Jimny for 1 - 2 hikers and a 2000 Toyota Landcruiser GXL for 3 - 5 hikers.

“Cathedral Ranges Southern Side”
This tour has exceeded my expectation! I thank the supportive and knowledgeable Phil who led the whole bunch of beginners like our group. This hike was considered to be challenging for some of us, but it was so much fun as we got to explore various landscapes along the trail. We spent our lunch on the top of the range, so rewarding!! Best view to have lunch! What we love about the tour with Phil's guidance is that Phil didn't just bring us there, but he became one of the members in the group and he made us feel that we are capable, and as if he got our back! Truly incredible experience!

“Cathedral Ranges Southern Circuit”
Phil was an excellent guide, very helpful and knowledgeable. The cathedral ranges southern circuit was a very scenic and fun hike. The rock climbing and cave sections were very enjoyable and as the route was fairly level, it was not too strenuous apart from some uphill sections.
