Re: Gongen Zaka (権現坂), the Mountain Path where Some Feudal Warlords on the Provincial War Era Rushed through the Fierce Battle
It was a lucky day for me today. The Buddhist monk of our family temple kindly advised me on climbing up to the pass when we were having a small talk. It was the first visit for me, but I was a bit surprised to know that the mountain path did not go into so waste as I had worried. We didn’t sweat at all in this early spring, though we walked the slope for an hour or so. I felt as if I was hearing neighing of horses and seeing rushing soldiers at the path. The fierce battle was fought on the 9th and 10th of June in 1583 throughout my hometown.
