Zbiroh Castle – A Hidden Gem of Czech History (60 min.)

Zbiroh Castle is often called the “Castle of Three Emperors,” as it has welcomed many rulers and noble families throughout history. This remarkable fortress dates back to the 12th century and is one of the oldest aristocratic residences in the Czech Republic. Its most famous resident was the world-renowned painter Alfons Mucha, who created his legendary “Slav Epic” here. Visitors can explore the richly decorated halls, admire Renaissance and Baroque interiors, and see Mucha’s original studio. The castle also hides the deepest well in Europe, reaching an incredible 163 meters into the rock.
