Upon arrival at Jinka Airport, I will warmly welcome you and begin our journey toward Turmi. Along the way, we will stop to see the stick walking boys of Banna tribes, where you can discover the community’s traditions and everyday life.

In the late afternoon, we will visit a Hamer village and experience the fascinating culture, customs, and lifestyle of one of the Omo Valley’s most well-known communities.

Depending on the clients traveling dates clients may attend the most colorful tribal market of the Bena or Hamar tribal market at the available day on the way down to Turmi (on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday).

Overnight in Paradise Lodge

After breakfast, we will drive to a Karo village near the Omo River. The Karo people are renowned for their beautiful body painting and strong cultural traditions. During the visit, you will learn about their daily life, farming practices, and connection to the Omo River.

Afterward, we will drive back toward Jinka. If the tour takes place on a market day, we will stop at the colorful Key Afer Market, where people from different local communities gather to trade, socialize, and exchange goods.

Overnight in Nasa Hotel

In the morning, we will travel through Mago National Park to visit a Mursi village. The Mursi are famous for their distinctive traditions, including the clay lip plates worn by some women. This visit offers an opportunity to learn about their culture and traditional way of life.

After the visit, we will return to Jinka and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa, bringing your memorable three-day Omo Valley cultural experience to an end.
