How do I ask a question before I book?

About GoWithGuide

1) To book a tour you may go to your desired tour page and click the red "Book Now" button at the top of the page.

2) You will be taken to the booking page where you can complete some details about your booking, such as your tour date, the desired starting time, number of people in your party, your hotel name, include any desired extras and leave a message with special requests to your guide.

3) In this page you can also click on the blue "Got a coupon?" button at the bottom to add a discount coupon code you might have.

4) After you fill all the information, click on the green "Proceed to Payment" button at the bottom of the page and you will be taken to the payment page.

How do I book a tour?

In the payment page you can check your booking details to make sure everything is correct and then enter your payment information to pay for your booking.
You can pay either by credit card or Paypal.
If you chose to pay by credit card, enter your Credit Card Number, your Credit Card Expiration Date and the CCV code (security code) of your credit card (it is a 3 digit number located on the back of your card, or a 4 digit code located on the front of the card in American Express' case and some other credit card companies).
After completing your payment information, please click the green "Confirm Payment" button at the bottom of the page.
OBS: Your transaction is 100% encrypted and safe, and your credit card will not be charged until your guide confirms your booking. You will be notified by email when your booking has been confirmed.

Every tour has been uniquely created by our experienced guides, so what is included in the tour depends on the tour. Please check the “Inclusions & Exclusions” section on the tour page.

Yes, you can! You can request for changes in the tour itinerary by sending a message to the guide from the blue “Send a Message” button from the guide’s profile page, or by leaving a message when you make a direct booking for a guide’s tour.

Can I make changes to the tour itinerary?

If you want to add another participant to the tour after a confirmed booking, it is best to ask the guide from the Message page. If it is before a booking, you can check the price of the tour according to the number of participants you select on the right-hand side of the tour page.

Is it possible to bring an extra person?

We do not separate customer reviews by specific tours as many customers prefer to customise their tours. All reviews shown on the guide’s profile page are reviews of the guide. Some reviews will mention which tours the customers went on.

Reviews are about guides only. How do I see reviews of a specific tour?

Tours are priced differently depending on the tour guides’ that have created the tours. Each of the tours on our platform has been uniquely created by registered tour guides so it is best to check individual tours and adjust the number of participants in the price preview section. We have price per person and price per group. Please take a close look.

Are tours priced per person or per group?

The price of the tour depends on the registered guides. Our tour guides are mostly freelance and therefore, they all have different rates. Our platform is all about customisation, so it is best to ask the tour guides themselves by messaging them for a full quotation based on your requests. To get a feel of how much tours are please take a look at the variety of tours offered by each of the guides themselves based on the content, inclusions/exclusions, and the duration specified on the tour page.

How much is a tour?

Yes, our platform is all about customisation so it is possible to have different starting and ending places for your tours. What is important is to let your guide know directly before your tour so that they are aware and can make the necessary preparations if required.

Can we start and end our tour in different places?

No, our platform only offers private tours. If you are travelling on your own, all of our tours can be booked from a minimum of 1 participant, so do not hesitate to contact our registered guides or book a tour!

Can I join a group tour?

The majority of our registered guides speak English along with their local language if applicable. You can check what languages are offered by checking their Profile page or by checking the Tour page.

You can contact a guide by clicking the Blue “Message” button on a tour page or from a guide’s profile page. When the guide replies to your message, you will be notified by e-mail from GoWithGuide. To read the message, please login to GoWithGuide, and click “Messages” in the top right corner. You can read and reply to the guide there.

How do I contact a guide?

Please enter the place you are interested in visiting in the search bar of our platform. Once you searched, you will be able to further filter your search by using the “Language” filter just under the header of the search.

How do I find a guide in my language?

Professional guides are local experts who passionately share their knowledge and experience about the local area to travelers like you. At GoWithGuide we perform rigorous checks to ensure the highest quality in our guides and the best experience possible for travelers.

What is a professional guide?

You can watch the guide's self-introduction video on each tour page, and read the guide's blogs on each guide page. You'll be able to see their language level, knowledge, and personality!

How can I trust the guides and what is offered?

Yes, GoWithGuide has a screening process where we interview guides that make an application to our platform. We check the guides’ knowledge of the local destination and their language skills.

Does GoWithGuide screen out guides?

We have guides registered in over 100 countries and across 400 cities! In order to check the guides available and the tours offered at a place of your choosing, please enter the area name in the search bar at the top of our homepage.

Do you have guides and/or tours in Egypt, Indonesia, South Korea…etc?

We use currency converter program. You can change the currency at the bottom of each page. The tour price in your currency may fluctuate according to the daily exchange rate.

How do I view prices in another currency?

We accept VISA, MASTER, AMERICAN EXPRESS and Paypal.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Yes, we use 2048-bit SSL encryption to secure all credit card transactions. All card information is processed in a PCI-compliant, high-security data centre.

Is my payment secure?

Normally guides will accept (or decline) your booking within 24 hours. You will receive a notification e-mail from GoWithGuide. If you don't receive it, please ask the guide through the message function.

After making my booking, how long will I have to wait for the confirmation?

Please login to GoWithGuide and click ＂Bookings＂ on top right corner. You can find your booking information.

Where do I find my booking reference number?

Yes, you can amend your booking after payment. If the tour price changes, please contact the GoWithGuide customer support team through the contact form.

Is it possible to amend my booking after payment?

You can cancel your tour yourself from the Booking page. Please login to GoWithGuide and click “Bookings” on the top right-hand side corner of the screen. Select the booking you want to cancel to go to the Booking page. Click on the red “Cancel” button on the right-hand side of the screen. Please follow the instructions that are shown and the cancellation policy that may apply for cancelling a confirmed booking.

What will happen if I can't make it to the tour and need to cancel? How do I cancel?

After booking a tour, the guide will accept (or decline) your booking within 24 hours. Then you will be notified by email from GoWithGuide. Please login GoWithGuide and once the guide has accepted (or declined) your booking, the status of the booking will be updated on the Booking page. 

What will happen after I book a tour?

You’ll be able to see the guide’s phone number exactly 48 hours before the confirmed meeting date and time.

What is GoWithGuide cancellation policy?

No, we do not take any deposits. The total price of the tour must be paid online in full at the time of the booking.

Can I pay part of the tour price online and the rest on the tour day?

If you are trying to pay for a booking and the payment fails, most of the time the reason is your credit card company (VISA, Master Card, etc.) blocking the payment. In order for the payment to be accepted, you need to contact your credit card company and tell them to “Authorise a payment to GoWithGuide”. After the credit card company approves, you can try to book and pay with the same credit card and the payment should be accepted without any issue. If the issue continues, please try to use a different card or you can also pay with a PayPal account.
