Day 1: Shai Hills Resource Reserve and Akosombo
I will pick you up from your hotel and proceed to Shai Hills Resource Reserve. Hiking within Accra Plains immediate outskirts, you’ll find hiking opportunities that are both enjoyable and fulfilling. The Shai Hills Resource Reserve is home to some 175 bird species including stone partridges and ground hornbills, baboons, different antelope species and many others. We will also have the opportunity to visit the cultural and historical caves of the Adangbe People.
From Shai Hills we drive Akosombo Dam and the lake Volta on a guided tour. Finally we drive to our booked hotel, have an experience of the serene cruise on the volta lake. Pool side rest at Akosombo Continental hotel. Night stay at hotel.
Day 2: Volta Region
We will be heading East, inland towards the beautiful Volta region of the country, which is home to the largest man-made lake in Africa, the colossal Lake Volta. Your place of refuge for the next two days will be the town of Wli Agorviefe, an amazing place which is the tallest waterfalls in West Africa, the upper and lower Wli falls. To get you in the mood for a bit more adventure, you will trek to the upper falls, and take in the outstanding views and magnificent scenery, before heading down to the lower falls for possibly the most exhilarating swim you will have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
A night stay at hotel
Day 3: Volta Region Tour Continues
Keep your adventurist cap on for day 3 as you will be scaling Ghana’s highest mountain peak, Mount Afadjato, measuring at 885m above sea level, so prepare yourself for some great views of the surrounding areas, casting your gaze over the Volta region for miles around with views of Lake Volta and the natural beauty of the surrounding area which is rich with wildlife and vegetation. A cracking way to start the day, the round trip, ascending and descending, takes approx. 2 hours, but do not fear if you are not super fit, as on this relaxing ascent nobody gets left behind.
Drive back to Akosombo. A night stay at booked hotel
Day 4: Boti Water Falls
I will pick you up early in the morning as we head to Boti Waterfalls in the eastern region of Ghana.
Boti falls is a twin waterfall located at Boti in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Boti falls takes its course from a river known locally as Ponmpon. Boti as a seasonal falls is a double side-by-side falls during the high flow and at the bottom of 250 concrete steps. During full flow you are surrounded in a canyon of falling water. It can be found in the forest of Huhunya. The larger one is mythically believed to be the male and the smaller one the female
A visit to Boti is actually a three-in-one pack. We will visit the the umbrella rock, the three-headed palm tree and, of course, the falls themselves. We will however take a stop at Cedi beads for a bead purchase experience.
A night stay at Koforidua.
Day 5: Aburi/ Accra City tour
On the day we travel down to the Aburi Botanical Gardens where we will learn of the various benefits derived from the various plants found in the Garden. Drive back to Accra. Have a good Accra City tour to the W.E.B Du Bois Centre, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and end our tour at the Independence and Nationalism Park.
Drive back to booked hotel in the city of Accra.

My name's Agnes. I'm a tourist guide who works in Ghana and I have been on the job since 2015. In West Africa and especially in Ghana, you need to be vast and knowledgeable about your communities and environment to be able to guide and show people around, which is what i love doing.
I graduated from University of Ghana with bachelors in geography and resource development. My passion has always been history, travels/tours and art, not only theoretically but also practically.
My spoken English is excellent as it is the official language in my country Ghana.
In 2017 I worked professionally as guide with “Shai Hills Resource Reserve”.
In my job I love to transfer to my guest for my love of art, the history and the traditions of my country Ghana so that they can really feel it as a true Ghanaian feels it.
I learned the importance of customer service; something that is very essential in the course of this job.
I'm looking forward to meeting you In Ghana and showing you around.
