Explore the rich history and natural beauty of Ghana’s Central Region with this full day tour. Start your day with an early morning drive from Accra to Kakum National Park. Our first activity of the day is the canopy walk high above the forest floor at Kakum National Park, followed by deeply moving visits to two of West Africa’s most significant historical landmarks, Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle. This experience offers a powerful blend of adventure, education, and cultural heritage.

Meeting Point

KAKUM NATIONAL PARK CAANOPY WALK
Enjoy an early morning scenic drive from Accra to the Central Region of Ghana. You will visit the Kakum National Park.
The attraction is the canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges extending 330m hanging 40m above the forest floor, offering you what is truly a bird’s eye view of the rain forest.
There are some mammals, but do not expect to see them as they are known to be extremely elusive.
ACTIVITY: This tour includes hiking through the rain forest of Kakum to the canopy walkway. It is advised for the participants to be in the right footwear. It is considered strenuous.
ELMINA CASTLE
We will proceed to Elmina to visit this historic town. You will tour the Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument built by the Portuguese in 1482. The castle was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, making it the oldest European building in existence in South Sahara Africa. Participants will have the unique opportunity to listen to the stories of the infamous slave trade during the guided tour of the castle.
LUNCH BREAK
We wil make a stop at a restaurant for Lunch
CAPE COAST CASTLE
We will end the day with a stop at the Cape Coast Castle.
Built in 1665, Cape Coast Castle served as one of the over 40 Slave castle and forts that served as holding places for enslaved people awaiting shipment to the Americas.
You will join the 45 minutes tour of the Cape Coast Castle to listen and see the “horrors of the slave trade”.
This tour will take you on a journey which will expose you to the activities of the slave trade era and the effects it had on communities, nations and humanity as a whole.
Ending Point
We will end the tour and drop you back to your pick up location.

Mt. Afadja and Wli Waterfalls
Let's take a trip to Mount Afadjato, also known as Mount Afadja, is the highest mountain in Ghana, standing at 885 meters (2,904 feet) above sea level, and is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers.
