Day 1 At the Airport
- We meet you at the airport upon arrival and transfer you to the hotel with brief introduction.
We have tour of the great Ahanti kindom which is so rich in culture and historical monuments, places to be visited shall include:
Kumasi military museum
Manhia Palace
Prempeh memorial museum
We take you to Bonwire kente village, to se how kente is being weaved, Kente is a traditional clothe which is worn on occasions. we shall also take the opportunity to Visit Ntonso the Adenkra Village, Adenkra is a traditional symbol mostly associated with the Akan traditional designs.
We take a tour to the central Region, the region with much Ghana's historical monuments, have an overnight stay at Cape coast.
We leave early morning from the hotel, and take a tour to one of Ghana's virgin rain forest and hike on the canopy walk way, the Kakum national park is one the well preserved national park in Ghana
From Kakum national park, we move to Elmina, we take a tour of Elmina town and the Elmina castle, the first castle to be built in Ghana by the Portuguese the first Europeans to arrive in Ghana, Elmina was the first point of arrival to Ghana(Gold Coast) by the first European.
A tour of the cape coast castle, The cape castle is one of the UNESCO world heritage monuments, have a guided tour of the castle, We learn much about the slave trade and other European activities on the coast of Ghana during Pre-colonial era and colonial era.
We depart for Accra after the tour of the cape coast castle.
In 1877 Accra became the capital of the British Gold Coast colony. In 1898 a municipal council was formed to improve the town. By the 1930s Accra was systematically laid out.
Accra is now the administrative, economic, and educational center of Ghana. The city contains the head offices of all of the large banks and trading firms, the insurance agencies, the electricity corporation, the general post office, the large open markets to which most of the food supply comes, forts and castles.
We take a city tour of Accra the Capital city, and visit places like the national
museum, Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum and many more.
