About Tour Guide Agnes K.

My name's Agnes. I'm a tourist guide who works in Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria and I have been on the job since 2015. In West Africa and especially in Ghana, you need to be vast and knowledgeable about your communities and environment to be able to guide and show people around, which is what i love doing.

I graduated from University of Ghana with bachelors in geography and resource development. My passion has always been history, travels/tours and art, not only theoretically but also practically.

My spoken English is excellent as it is the official language in my country Ghana.

In 2017 I worked professionally as guide with “Shai Hills Resource Reserve”.

In my job I love to transfer to my guest for my love of art, the history and the traditions of my country Ghana so that they can really feel it as a true Ghanaian feels it.

I learned the importance of customer service; something that is very essential in the course of this job.

I'm looking forward to meeting you In West Africa and showing you around.

More Than a Tour Guide: Agnes Helped Our Family Come Home

Agnes was extraordinary. This was our family’s first trip to Africa, and for me it was also a deeply personal journey tied to my 50th birthday, my family history, and a desire to experience Ghana beyond the surface. Traveling with my wife and six-year-old daughter, I needed someone who could balance history, culture, safety, flexibility, family logistics, and the emotional weight of the trip. Agnes did all of that exceptionally well. She helped us experience Ghana in a way that felt personal rather than packaged. From Accra to Cape Coast, Elmina, Assin Manso, Kumasi, the Volta Estuary, museums, cultural sites, markets, and traditional ceremonies, she made the country feel accessible, alive, and deeply human. What impressed me most was her willingness to listen. She understood that I was not simply sightseeing. I wanted time to reflect, ask difficult questions, engage history honestly, and connect with the meaning of being in Ghana. She respected that while also making sure my wife and daughter had a wonderful experience. She was also fantastic with our daughter. Traveling for more than a week with a six-year-old requires patience and flexibility, and Agnes always knew when to slow down, adjust plans, find food, make space for rest, or simply let her be a child. Agnes is also a hardworking woman entrepreneur, and the care, professionalism, pride, and personal attention she brought every day were remarkable. There are moments from this trip I will carry for the rest of my life, and Agnes helped make many of them possible. By the end, she did not feel like someone who had simply guided us through Ghana. She felt like someone who had helped our family come home. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

What a beautiful review, thank you so much. It was truly an honor to be part of your family's first journey to Africa, and such a meaningful one - celebrating your 50th birthday, honoring your family history, and experiencing Ghana with your wife and daughter. I still remember how important it was for you to go beyond sightseeing, to reflect, ask hard questions, and connect deeply with the history at Cape Coast, Elmina, and Assin Manso. Balancing that depth while making sure your wife and your amazing 6-year-old princess was comfortable, happy, and enjoying herself was my joy. Thank you for trusting me with those moments you said you will carry for the rest of your life. Thank you for seeing and supporting me as a woman entrepreneur. That means a lot to me. You did not just visit Ghana - you came home. And your family will always have a home here with me. With all my gratitude, Agnes

Interesting and really fun

This was my first time using GoWithGuide. I didn't know what to expect, but I was like, 'let me give it a try.' I would say this was my best tour of all the tours I have had before. Agnes and the driver were the best people. I was so comfortable being around them because their energy was so good. They made me try all different types of local foods, which I really enjoyed. They took me to all the places that I wanted to see and I learned a lot from them. I would totally recommend her again to friends and family.

Accra tour with Agnes

Agnes guided me through cultural sites and gave me a real-life experience of Accra. She introduced me to local foods, took me through markets, and even to the beach. A big thank you also to the driver, Steven, who brought us safely around the city. I highly recommend Agnes!
