Meeting Point
Queen Alia International Airport
- Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall at Queen Alia International Airport holding a sign with your name, or picks you up from your hotel in Amman. Please send us your flight number and arrival time after booking; the meeting time is adjusted to your flight.
Day 1: Arrival in Amman and city highlights
Airport pickup and hotel check-in. Time permitting, visit the Amman Citadel, the Roman Theatre and the downtown markets. Overnight in Amman.
Day 2: Roman Jerash and Ajloun Castle
Explore the Roman city of Jerash with its colonnaded streets, temples and theatres, then the hilltop Ajloun Castle with views over the Jordan Valley. Overnight in Amman.
Day 3: Madaba, Mount Nebo, your baptism and the Dead Sea
See Madaba's Byzantine mosaics and Mount Nebo, then Bethany Beyond the Jordan for your baptism in the Jordan River, arranged in advance with the officiating church: the spiritual centrepiece of the journey. Afternoon floating in the Dead Sea. Overnight at the Dead Sea.
Day 4: King's Highway castles and Little Petra
Drive south along the ancient King's Highway via Karak Castle, the Dana Biosphere Reserve viewpoints and Shobak Castle, then explore Little Petra before reaching Petra. Overnight in Petra.
Day 5: Full-day Petra archaeology and photography
A full guided day in Petra: the Siq, the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and the city centre, with time for photography in the best light. Overnight in Petra.
Day 6: Back Door hike to the Monastery and Wadi Rum
Hike the quieter Back Door trail to the Monastery (Ad Deir), then drive to Wadi Rum for a private 4x4 desert safari, the sunset and a Bedouin dinner. Overnight in a desert camp.

Tour Important Information
* A baptism at the Jordan River is a reverent act of Christian worship, not a touristic experience. You may travel alone, but please consider including your Christian leaders, friends and family in your baptism.
* After baptism, a certificate is provided by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jordan and the Holy Land, with your name as given at booking, birthdate and home fellowship. Please send us these details for each person to be baptised.
* Catholic clients: please bring a signed letter or formal certificate on church letterhead confirming you have received the necessary instruction and are approved for baptism.
* Protestant clients: you will fill in and sign a form before the ceremony.
* We coordinate the ceremony with the relevant church, arrange all approvals and permissions in advance, and confirm any denomination-specific documents before the ceremony.
* Private tour: your own air-conditioned vehicle and driver for all 8 days; a licensed local guide joins you on Days 2 to 7 (no guide on the arrival and departure days).
* Accommodation is in 3-star hotels. Upgrades to a higher hotel category are available: contact us for upgrades.
* Entrance fees are not included (Petra is 50 JOD for 1 day). The Jordan Pass covers Petra and most sites (not the Baptism Site) and waives the visa fee if you stay at least 3 nights.
* Wear modest clothing at the Baptism Site; white robes are available at the river.
* The Back Door trail to the Monastery is a 3 to 4 hour hike on rocky ground; good shoes are needed.
* Desert nights can be cold from October to April: bring a warm layer.

“A Trip of a Lifetime to Jordan!”
When looking to tour the sites in Jordan we had on our "bucket" list, I knew that it would be a daunting task. Even as an experienced traveler, there was some apprehension on my side as we had only 5 days to try to see and experience the places on our list, Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman and the Dead Sea. There were 8 of us, so arranging for transportation between the above sites was going to be extremely challenging. After a good amount of research, I decided on choosing Jehad for our journey. He was quick to reply to my requests and did not flinch one bit in trying to accommodate our wishes and goals. For every question I had, he offered sound advice with his experience resonating in his responses. Now that we are all back and I am writing this review, I can say unequivocally that it was probably the best trip overseas in my almost 25 years of traveling internationally. From meeting us at the airport in Amman and getting us on our way expeditiously to Petra to begin our journey and experience at the start, l knew that he had to put together this trip together with extremely detailed planning and timing. Coordination along with what I soon found out to be his consummate contacts, made each leg come together in a manner that made me and my members confident in our choice of selecting him from the onset and throughout our whirlwind journey. Now bear in mind that there were eight in our group so there were bound to be some challenges and some missteps, like one of our group losing our passport, some mobility issues, etc. but Jehad handled them all. As I stated above, it was one of the most enjoyable trips I've experienced. Seeing the wonders of Petra in person, from the pure serenity and adventure of being in the Wadi Rum and then onwards, it was impactful and meaningful in so many ways for all of us. So to say it was an experience of a lifetime sounds like a cliché but it was that. For me, many of the moments are imprinted in my mind and memory that will last a lifetime.
