This balance MUST be settled in CASH (USD or KGS) directly with your guide upon initial meeting in Karakol BEFORE departure.

Strict Banknote & Payment Rules:

USD Banknotes: We accept ONLY pristine, crisp $50 or $100 bills (series 2013 or newer, clean, uncreased, with zero tears, stamps, writing, or stains). Local Kyrgyz banks and exchange offices in Karakol strictly reject small bills ($5, $10, $20) and worn or older series notes.

Local Currency (KGS): Clean local Som banknotes are fully accepted.

No Bank Transfers: Same-day wire/bank transfers are not accepted due to multi-day processing delays. Transport will not depart until the cash balance is settled at pickup.

Physical Fitness Level:

This is a strenuous high-altitude day trek involving steep ascents up to 3,560 meters (11,680 ft). Guests should be in good physical condition and comfortable with steady uphill hiking.

About Tour Guide Nurdin M.

Hi, I’m Nurdin!

I’ve spent years capturing the soul of Kyrgyzstan on canvas as a professional oil painter, and now I want to show it to you in person.

My tours for solo travelers are about more than just sightseeing; I aim to be your local friend and guardian on the road. Whether we’re navigating remote mountain passes or exploring hidden valleys, I’ve got your back, ensuring you feel safe and supported every step of the way.

As we explore, I use my artist’s eye for light and composition to take stunning photos of you and the landscape, so you can put the phone away and just soak in the view. Let’s find the 'hidden frames' of Kyrgyzstan together!

Reviews

“A perfect week with an amazing local guide”

We cannot recommend Nurdin highly enough. From the moment we engaged with him he was extremely responsive, comprehensive and helpful - assisting us to plan out our own unique and unforgettable itinerary in Kyrgyzstan. Even through our own logistical challenges, date changes and special needs, Nurdin was always a reliable port of call. Throughout our week in Kyrgyzstan he consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had the safest, easiest and most memorable trip possible, and his authentic local knowledge of the country, culture and natural environment really elevated our experience beyond what you’d get through a more generic tour booking. Nurdin is also a painter, with a curious artistic eye and an easygoing, gentle nature that really complements the beauty of Kyrgyzstan. We will definitely go with Nurdin again, and give him the highest praise as a guide. Thank you Nurdin!

Hi Gavin, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and generous review! It was an absolute pleasure guiding you and your family through Kyrgyzstan. It was a true honor for me to meet such wonderful human beings and beautiful souls. A special shout-out to your father—reaching the pass at over 4,000 meters elevation was incredible! He is a true hero in my eyes and inspired us all on the trail. I’m so glad we were able to navigate the schedule changes smoothly and craft an itinerary that felt unique and memorable for you. Hearing that my perspective as an artist and local guide added a special touch to your connection with our mountains and culture truly means the world to me. Thank you again for your trust and kind words. You and your family are always welcome back in Kyrgyzstan—I’d be honored to guide you on another trek anytime! Warm regards, Nurdin
