Day 1: Arrival and Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, kickstart your adventure with a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Explore the ancient Basantapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adorned with palaces, temples, and courtyards showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. Next, visit Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, offering a panoramic view of the city and represents one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. Then, venture to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, where you can witness traditional Hindu rituals. This day offers a captivating introduction to Nepal's rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
Day 2: Flight to Pokhara and Visit to Phewa Lake
In the morning, take a short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and then head to Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the tranquil waters, and don't miss the opportunity to visit Tal Barahi Temple, located on a small island in the lake. The lake's serene ambiance and the stunning backdrop of the Annapurna mountain range make for a memorable experience.
Day 3: Explore Pokhara
Spend the day exploring the natural and cultural attractions of Pokhara. Start with a visit to Davis Falls, a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep canal with no end in sight. Next, explore Gupteshwor Cave, a mysterious cave located near Davis Falls. Continue to the International Mountain Museum, where you can learn about the history of mountaineering and the culture of the mountain people. Finally, visit the Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa situated on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of Pokhara, Phewa Lake, and the surrounding mountains. This day is filled with diverse experiences that highlight Pokhara's charm.
Day 4: Return to Kathmandu
In the morning, take a flight back to Kathmandu. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or to visit any attractions you might have missed on the first day. Consider strolling through the bustling streets of Thamel, a popular tourist area known for its shops and restaurants, or visiting the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. Later, you'll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable 4-day tour in Nepal.
