Important Information for Rush Lake Trek & Tour Guests
• This tour involves extensive trekking across glaciers, alpine meadows, and high-altitude terrain. Comfortable, broken-in hiking boots are essential.
• Moderate to high physical fitness is required. The trek includes steep ascents, glacier crossings, and long walking days.
• Accommodation during the trek is in tents. Sleeping bags, mats, and basic camping gear will be provided.
• This tour is not wheelchair accessible due to rugged terrain and remote campsites.
• Please inform us in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We do our best to accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and other needs.
• Pack warm layers, even in summer. Nights at high altitude (Rush Phari ~4,700m) can be freezing. A down jacket, thermal wear, and waterproof outer layers are recommended.
• Bring sun protection. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat are essential at high altitudes.
•Water purification tablets or filters are recommended. While we provide boiled water at camps, having your own method adds safety.
• Altitude sickness is a possibility. We ascend gradually, but guests should be aware of symptoms and consult their doctor before joining if concerned.
• Pack light but smart. Porters will carry main luggage during the trek, but guests should carry a daypack with essentials (water, snacks, camera, jacket).
• Limited or no mobile signal during the trek. Connectivity resumes once back in Hunza or Gilgit.
• Photography is welcome, but please respect local customs. Always ask before photographing people, especially in villages.
• Eco-friendly practices are encouraged. Please avoid single-use plastics and help us preserve the pristine environment.
• Guides and porters are trained and experienced. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.
