Meeting Point
Day 1: Islamabad
- Welcome to Pakistan! Arrival at Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel and overnight in Islamabad
Day 2: Naran/ Chilas
After breakfast, we will embark on our journey to Naran via Hazara Motorway. Naran is a famous bazaar town located in the lush Kaghan Valley. Hopefully we will reach Naran in the late evening (depending on the traffic) then explore this famous bazaar town. We will spend the night in this town before hitting the road again in the morning.
Note on spring and autumn tour: we will take a different route to the northern area due to heavy snowfall or road closures. Instead of driving to Naran, we will drive to Chilas via Karakoram Highway.
Driving time from Islamabad to Naran / Chilas: approx. 6 hours (Naran) / 12 - 13 hours (Chilas)
Distance: 286 km (Naran) / 483 km (Chilas)
Day 3: Naran/ Chilas to Fairy Meadows
After breakfast, we will travel to Raikot Bridge where we will transfer into 4 x 4 jeeps to Tattu village. The jeep track from Raikot to Tattu is the most adventurous and unforgettable ride during the whole journey.
Upon arrival at Tattu Village, we will start trekking to Fairy Meadows. The trek will take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the fitness of each person. If the weather is clear, Nanaga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world, can be seen on the way. Porter and donkey is available for an additional fee.
Driving time from Naran / Chilas to Raikot Bridge: approx. 4 hours (Naran) / 1.5 - 2.5 hours (Chilas)
Distance from Naran / Chilas to Raikot Bridge: 159 km (Naran) / 54.1 km (Chilas)
Driving time from Raikot to Tattu Village: approx. 1.5 hours
Distance from Raikot Bridge to Tattu Village: 15.8 km
Trekking time from Tattu Village to Fairy Meadows: approx. 2 - 3 hours
Trekking distance from Tattu Village to Fairy Meadows: 5.6 km
Day 4: Trek to Beyal Camp
After breakfast, we will start our trekking to Beyal Camp. The trek to the Beyal Camp is optional, one can decide to stay and chill in Fairy Meadows, enjoy the mountain view and peaceful time.
Please note: The Trek requires a moderate level of fitness. One should have a hiking experience and regular hiking routine so they can complete this trek successfully.
Trekking time from Fairy Meadows to Beyal Camp: approx. 1.5 hours
Trekking distance from Fairy Meadows to Beyal Camp: 3.6 km (one way)
Day 5: Fairy Meadows to Skardu
After breakfast, we will start to descend back to Raikot Bridge and transfer to our private transport to continue the journey to Skardu. En route we will stop by Upper Kachura Lake for a visit. Then we will continue our journey to Skardu. Hopefully we will reach the hotel in the late evening.
Driving time from Raikot Bridge to Skardu: approx. 4 hours
Distance: 203 km
Day 6: Excursion to Shigar valley
After breakfast, we will drive to Shigar for a half day visit. Once in Shigar, we will visit blind lake and the Safaranga Cold Desert. Unlike other deserts where heat waves are constant, the Sarfaranga Desert presents a bizarre scene of sand dunes and cold temperatures. It is encircled by the rocky mountains, and The Indus Rivers flows close by. Every summer a jeep rally is held in the Safaranga Cold Desert and it attracts lots of tourists to come for a
visit. After lunch, we will drive back to Skardu. You will have free time to explore the local bazaar and buy some locally produced products as souvenirs.
Driving time from Skardu to Shigar: approx. 1.5 hours
Distance: 42.6 km
Day 7: Skardu To Karimabad
After breakfast, we will drive from Skardu to Karimabad. Our aim is to reach Karimabad in the late afternoon. En route we will stop by the Rakaposhi view point for a visit and continue our journey to Karimabad. Once we arrive in Karimabad we will check-in the hotel and freshen up, then start the exploration in Karimabad bazaar.
Driving time from Skardu to Karimabad: approx. 5.5 hours
Distance: 290 km
Day 8: Hunza Valley Exploration
After breakfast, we will visit the Baltit Fort, then drive to Hopper valley for a visit. Hopper glacier can be seen in close up. After lunch, you will have free time in the afternoon to explore Karimabad yourself. Local Hunza cuisine and plenty of handicrafts can be found in the main street of Karimabad, or sitting in Cafe de Hunza to enjoy a cup of mountain tea and a piece of walnut cake with the stunning view of Hunza Valley. In the early evening, we will head to Eagles Nest to have a sunset view of Hunza Valley; few of the 7000 meters of snow capped mountains can be seen from there.
Day 9: Karimabad To Passu Valley
After breakfast, we will visit Altit Fort. Then we will head to the Upper Hunza via KKH (Karakoram Highway). Upper Hunza is one of the best places to explore in the northern area of Pakistan, one can experience crossing the suspension bridge, enjoy the epic view of Passu Cone and interact with the locals in the village. First, we will stop by Attabad and go boating on Attabad Lake, a lake which was formed in 2010 when a significant landslide impounded the water in Attabad. Next, we will visit Hussaini Suspension bridge, a bridge for adventure lovers who can cross from one side to the other side over the Hunza River. The view from the bridge to Passu Cone is spectacular and one should not miss it.. Afterwards, we will visit Borith Lake and hike to the epic viewpoint to see the glacier and the surrounding mountains. After all the adventure activities, we will check in the hotel in the evening and rest.
Driving time from Karimabad to Upper Hunza: approx. 1.5 - 2 hours
Distance: 50 km
Day 10: Excursion To Khunjerab Border
Today we will visit the highest border in the world!
After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Khunjerab Border via Karakoram Highway. Khunjerab Border is the border between Pakistan and China and it is the highest border in the world. The border is open from April to late October every year for crossing and trading. After the visit, we will return to Sost for lunch. Enroute we will stop by some places for visits
and taking pictures. Hopefully we will reach the hotel in the early evening and relax.
Driving time from Passu to Khunjerab: approx. 2.5 hours (one way)
Distance: 124 km
Day 11: Passu To Gilgit
After breakfast, we will drive to Gilgit - the capital of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. En route we will visit Naltar Valley,driving through the forest area and reaching Satrangi Lake (seven-color lake). Afterwards, we will continue our journey to Gilgit, hopefully we will reach Gilgit in the late afternoon.

Distance: 149 km
Driving time from Naltar to Gilgit: approx. 1 hours 45 minutes
Distance: 54.4 km
Day 12: Gilgit To Naran/Besham
After breakfast, we will drive to Naran via Babusar Pass. En route we will stop by Babusar Top and Lulusar Lake for a visit. Hopefully we will reach the hotel in the early evening.
Note: (if we travel to Besham) As there are lots of construction going on in Karakoram Highway, there may be delays due to the road block and traffic during the journey, please try to understand the situation and be patient.
Driving time from Gilgit to Naran / Besham: approx. 6 hours (Naran) / 10 hours (Besham)
Distance: 230 km (Naran) / 335 km (Besham)
Day 13: Naran Besham to Islamabad
After breakfast, we will drive to Islamabad. Once in Islamabad, we will check-in the hotel and freshen up. Afterwards, we will visit the Faisal Mosque and Pakistan Monument in the afternoon.
Driving time from Naran / Besham to Islamabad: approx. 6 hours (Naran) / 4.5 hours (Besham)

Day 14: Departure Day
Today is the time to say goodbye!
After breakfast, we will drive to Taxila, one of the Buddhist archaeological sites in Pakistan. Taxila is a famous ancient city. The Taxila University is an ancient centre of learning for several centuries, particularly known for its religious teachings of Buddhism. The Buddhist remains in the sites have a history of more than 2000 years. In 1980, UNESCO designated
Taxila as a World Heritage Site. After lunch, we will arrange a shopping time for the souvenir. Afterwards, we will have a farewell dinner at one of our favourite restaurants. Then we will drop you at the airport after dinner.
