Union Square

We will get on the subway at Union Square station and head towards one of the neighborhoods of Bucharest established in the 'communist era' of Romania.

Berceni neighborhood

A former 'communist' neighborhood, established for the working class, with typical high-rise blocks of flats, a place that has changed over time, and which a good number of people call home for a few generations now. It will be an opportunity to learn about the changes the country has gone through over the past decades.

Vacaresti Natural Park

An area with a fascinating history, where an abandoned reservoir project gave way to nature's reclaiming of the land, and has turned it into a 'delta', as it is nicknamed. Turned natural park, this wild area in the middle of an urban establishment is quite unique.

Obor market

We will take the tram to get to the biggest market in Bucharest, very popular for locals to shop for a wide range of goods. It will be an opportunity to see the produce and to try some local delicacies, as it will be just about lunchtime. Afterwards, a tram will take us to our endpoint.
