Hej! My name is Sophie and I am a true Stockholmer - born and raised in the beautiful capital of Sweden. I am currently becoming an Authorized Stockholm Guide (finishing in March, if everything goes as planned). I have 4+ years experience working as a Guide in Stockholm and have done everything from Private Tours, Old Town Tours, City Tours to Bike Tours, Bus Tours, Segway Tours. Throughout the years, I have had the pleasure to work with both companies as well as individual bookings, where I have encountered people and made friends from all over the big wide world. Language wise, I have mostly worked with German speaking tourism, but naturally also quite a lot of English speaking groups. My family is spread out all over: Sweden (far up in the northern woods) / Netherlands / Peru / France / Finland / Germany, so there are quite a few languages I speak and understand on varied levels - although tour wise I am sticking to German and English (and Swedish of course)! Why should I guide you? Well, I am first of all local: raised in the City neighborhood of Östermalm, so if there is something I know in life - it's Stockholm! Furtheron, I am experienced and have many years not only in tourism behind me, working as a Guide. As a person I am very flexible and service minded. My concept is very simple: Tell me where you want to go and I will make it happen! No thought or dream is too big. 200 years ago, us Swedes had an American Dream - today, my wish is that your Swedish Dream will come true! My goal is to give you the best experience possible in Stockholm and for you to revisit Sweden many, many times. There is SO much beauty to the country of IKEA and Volvo Cars, that I hope to show you. Välkommen till Stockholm! Welcome to Stockholm! Willkommen in Stockholm!

Hello - my name is Jessica and welcome to Sweden - Välkommen! I am so happy you have chosen to travel to my home city 'Stockholm'. Even if you are only here for a short while - I would like to introduce you to our Swedish culture and traditions whilst showing you some unique parts of Stockholm and its surroundings, places that are off the beaten track as well as all the must sees! If you wish to go in-depth about life in Sweden then I have written a book under the title "Stockholm, Sweden - At Your Fingertips" and it can be found on Amazon. I have lived abroad half of my life - in Kenya, Israel, Greece etc. and what a fantastic world this is! Now I would like to share with you "my world" here in Sweden. I would love to show you the sights and sounds of Stockholm. If you have already been here before, why not let me show you the tranquil suburb of Lidingö - away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Maybe a hike through one of our nature reserves, visit a farm from the 18th century and for the hardy, maybe a dip in the lake. When I am not out guiding or with my family, I work with expats, newcomers and diplomats introducing them to our Swedish culture, ways and traditions - helping them feel at home here in Sweden.
