I was born and bred in Tokyo, so I have some native knowledge there. I worked for trading house for more than 30 years. During this time I was fortunate enough to have chances to contact things & people abroad, while I came to know Japan is very rich in beautiful things including traditional culture, food, area and site due to domestic trips on business. Taking both experiences both of domestic and abroad I thought I could contribute a little bit to mutual understanding and introduction of Japanese things to people from abroad. After retirement I decided to introduce beauty and charm of Japan. Through guiding I've come to know the questions that people from abroad are likely to feel curious about Japan. My basic ideas to attend guests are, either first visitors or repeaters, I would like to explain the points you want to know steadily for sure in all field including traditional cultures, things about present Japan, and pop cultures. Having cheerful and bright nature, I think I can show you around not only must-see spots but also the off-the-beaten path as you like, to make tour something new and enjoyable. My love for travel was sparked by my homestay experiences in Scotland and California, USA. Living outside Japan taught me so much, but what I cherish most about my homestays was the 'weekend small trips'. I fondly recall the picturesque Highlands and a B&B in Scotland, where a kind elderly couple welcomed me warmly. During an overnight bus trip from California to Las Vegas, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking sunrise changing the sky brighter and brighter. Travel is special because of the small, soul-stirring moments.
