I was born and bred in Tokyo, so I have some native knowledge there. I worked for trading house for more than 30 years. During this time I was fortunate enough to have chances to contact things & people abroad, while I came to know Japan is very rich in beautiful things including traditional culture, food, area and site due to domestic trips on business. Taking both experiences both of domestic and abroad I thought I could contribute a little bit to mutual understanding and introduction of Japanese things to people from abroad. After retirement I decided to introduce beauty and charm of Japan. Through guiding I've come to know the questions that people from abroad are likely to feel curious about Japan. My basic ideas to attend guests are, either first visitors or repeaters, I would like to explain the points you want to know steadily for sure in all field including traditional cultures, things about present Japan, and pop cultures. Having cheerful and bright nature, I think I can show you around not only must-see spots but also the off-the-beaten path as you like, to make tour something new and enjoyable. Looking forwards to meeting you soon !

Hello there! I am Jonathan and I'm so excited to share my New York City with you! I have family roots in New York City stretching back over a hundred years, mirroring the classic immigrant experience from Ellis Island to the Lower East Side. This background has inspired an ongoing quest for the best of the city past and present, from the suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge to the hot pastrami at Katz’s deli. I moved from the depths of Jersey to Manhattan’s Morningside Heights at 18 for college and have since split his time between Tel Aviv and New York City. I studied American History at Columbia University under Kenneth Jackson, one of the all time great historians of New York City. After college I worked in finance before heading back to school in Israel to study for an MA in Archeology from Bar Ilan University. I currently guide tours in both New York and Israel, depending on the season. I love exploring the city’s history, from the footprints of George Washington to Malcolm X, and discovering hidden gems from the best pizza slice to the coolest dive bar. New York City is an endless playground of culture, history, and energy where every day seems to yield a new adventure.

Back in the early 80s, right after waving goodbye to school life, I went on a crazy adventure—hitchhiking solo around Australia for 14 months. It wasn't just about the sights and miles; it was about the people I met. Aussies are a generous bunch, they took me in like a lost cousin. I also hooked up with fellow travelers from every corner of the globe. Those months were like a masterclass in life, giving me a whole new perspective and opening up a world of experiences. Fast forward to today, and I'm not the hitchhiker anymore; I'm the one behind the wheel. No, not a taxi driver, but a private driver guide showing international visitors around the natural wonders of Australia. It's like life's way of saying, "Hey, time to give back!" :) Matt

Hello! I'm Nao. I was born and raised in Himeji, which is famous for the Himeji Castle (egret castle). I'm guiding in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hyogo (especially Kobe and Himeji). I'd been in the US for three years attending a university. During the stay I went to the Yellow Stone twice, and visited California. I took a summer French class for a month in Canada, so I speak French a little. I love travelling. I went to many places in Japan. I visited Hokkaido, Okinawa, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and so on. I love music ― pops, rock, gospel and classical music. I'm a fan of Beethoven. Some day I'd like to go to Vienna and visit his houses and the forest, where he composed "the Pastoral Symphony". There are lots of attractions in Japan. You can visit shrines, temples, deer park etc. You can enjoy USJ, river cruise, anime museum, Japanese sake, Onsen and of course delicious Japanese dishes. Let's have fun together !

I was born and raised in Kamakura. I have spent most of my life in Japan except 2 years in the U.S. I am a certified national tour guide living in Kamakura. There are many temples and shrines in Kamakura. Asakusa has a world-famous Senso-ji temple with Thunder Gate. They are not only the holly places where people come to worship but the historic sites where visitors can touch and feel the Japanese cultures and traditions. I am very happy to share my knowledge with the foreign visitors who want to know about Japan. Visiting the old historic places is the gateway to understand Japan. Asakusa is in the downtown Tokyo. Kamakura is one hour from Tokyo station by JR train. So why not come and join my tour. I am waiting for your reservation.

Romania
Irina T.
I'm a passionate traveler and a licensed tour guide in Romania. Born and raised in Bucharest, I have a background in psychology, video editing, and project management. Travel has always been a defining part of my life. Having explored more than 40 countries across different continents, I’ve experienced many local cultures, histories, and ways of life. These experiences have shaped my worldview and made it easy for me to connect with people from all backgrounds. They also gave me a deeper appreciation for my own country, which I now enjoy sharing with visitors. Having seen both sides of tourism - as a traveler and as a local guide - I understand what visitors are really looking for: genuine encounters, good conversations, and experiences that feel real rather than staged or rushed. I offer guided walking tours in Bucharest and beyond, with a focus on helping first-time visitors discover Romania through its history, architecture, cuisine, and everyday life. Whether we're walking through Bucharest’s streets, exploring its heritage and historical layers, or heading out to medieval towns and mountain landscapes, I aim to provide context that brings each place to life and helps you understand what makes Romania unique. For me, the best tours grow out of curiosity and human connection. Along the way, you can expect relaxed conversations, local insights, and a balance between well-known highlights and places most visitors might miss. I’m always happy to give recommendations depending on your interests. Every traveler is different, and I enjoy shaping each experience around your pace and interests. Whether you are passionate about history, food, architecture, or simply want to experience Romania through a local perspective, I look forward to showing you the country in a way that feels personal and engaging. I also create custom itineraries for travelers looking for a more flexible, tailored experience, so feel free to get in touch.
