When I left my hometown Düsseldorf in 1999 to move to Barcelona, the Catalan capital was rather a polluted, shady and even dangerous industrial site than the trendy and cosmopolitan tourist destination it is nowadays. I came into town as a photographer and event manager and despite of Barcelona's guff post-industrial charm I was instantly overwhelmed by the creativity and passion of its people, their way of seeing things and to live their lives.
With the time I got more and more attracted by tourism and achieved work experience as a property manager and travel consultor. Finally, I launched my own little travel consultancy in 2016 and since that I am offering luxury accommodations, DMC / concierge services and a wide range of day tours and group activities.
My core business are private day tours from Barcelona to destinations like Girona, Tarragona, Sitges, Vic, Besalú or areas like Costa Brava, Penedés or Priorat. My mission is to leave the beaten path and to make my customers discover unique historical sites, beautiful landscapes, vibrant street life and amazing food and wine experiences. For the tour we use a comfy, private SUV that fits 4 passengers + driver / guide. The tours can be done in English, Spanish, French and German and they can generally be customised to meet the interests and needs of the group at any time. During the tour you get an idea of the long and diverse history of the sites, local traditions s.a. insights about lifestyle, culture and social concerns.

Born in San Sebastian, Basque Country, I’m an enthusiastic person who loves travelling and sharing my experiences with people.
I have visited over 60 countries and guided travellers for over 12 years.
After travelling around the world in my last big trip, during 14 months, I decided to set up this bussiness to offer the travellers an unique view of the Basque Country & Rioja and surroundings like a local.
I have a long experience guiding people along the Basque Country, specially around San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Vitoria as well as the French-Basque Country and the famous Rioja Wine region.
As well as I travel abroad often, I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristic ones, but to the off-the-track ones too. Always adding some of my little stories and anecdotes of each place making the journey more enjoyable and unique.
Living in a place with a food-culture like us, it adds an extra value to my tours, being a member of a Gastronomy Club as I am (famous «sociedad gastronónica») in San Sebastian .
This is only one of some of the tips I would offer you, considering that the only way to visit and access to them is being invited by a member! Great experience not to be missed!!
Would you like to listen to some of the stories I have to share, while I show you the beautiful country where I live in is? If you are looking for real Basque guides, you found it.
Come and feel the experience of the Basque Country with real local Basque guides! Ongi etorri! («Welcome» in Basque)

Since I was a child I've always been curious about different countries and cultures and I enjoyed studying foreign languages, that's why I chose to study at the Touristy High School of Venice and after graduating I decided to study Economics of Tourism and Arts at the University of Venice - Ca' Foscari. Meanwhile I had some chances to travel as well, I visited most of the European countries, spending some weeks in the Uk, France and Spain to study, but I also had the chance to travel to Russia thanks to my University and to the United States.
But the love for my city, Venice, has never decreased during the years and this is why I have decided to become a tour guide.

I'm a highly passionate and enthusiastic tour guide from Barcelona, well-versed in both the city's mainstream attractions and its lesser-known gems.
Overall, food, history, urbanism, and architecture are my passions, but they truly come alive when I can share them with you. I firmly believe that a guided tour isn't just about me and my knowledge. It's about striking a balance between delivering quality information, exchanging culture, and, most importantly, considering the diverse personalities of my clients.
Above all, I prioritize listening to your interests and preferences, ensuring that our interaction is tailored to meet your needs. I also welcome the opportunity to learn from your experiences and stories, enriching our mutual understanding if you're open to it.
At the end of the day, my challenge is to provide you with an experience offering a 360º view (clear but not overwhelming) of Barcelona, Catalonia, and Spain. I want you to feel that when you return home, you've experienced and embraced a piece of Spain and old Europe.
During our time together, I strive to make learning about history and art enjoyable while igniting your curiosity to continue exploring beyond our tour.
And, I can't forget something fundamental – I'm always ready to introduce you to the local cuisine. If you're someone who loves experiencing a country through its flavors, you're in for a delightful culinary journey!
