Hello, My name is Joško (pronounced: Yosch-ko) and I am a Licensed Tour Guide by Ministry of Tourism in Croatia, with expertise in the Region of Dalmatia. I was born and raised in Split, grew up in '80s/'90s during times of Communism and Homeland War and still live here. I specialized in active and cultural small group travel, privately guided and custom designed tours throughout Dalmatia, the oldest and most beautiful region of Croatia. My experiences in tourism, formal education, and authentic knowledge of the amazing Dalmatian Coast and it’s rich surroundings have led me to turn my passion into my profession. I graduated from the University of Zagreb with Master's degree in Economics & History Studies. Since 2002 I have been guiding and creating customized tours in Croatia and during this time I have enjoyed partnering with several US and European travel companies. I truly believe a Croatian destination will always be gorgeous and fascinating and I simply love of being an ambassador of my beautiful country with visitors. As an experienced Tour Guide that gives an insider’s perspective and as a resident of the region that has plenty of local lore to share, it will be my pleasure to make your vacation time in my country joyful and memorable for a years to come. I am also very happy and proud to show you my hometown and region 'through the eyes of locals'. I am looking forward to hear from you and hope to see and host you here in Split. Živili (Cheers)!!! Joško

Portugal
Pedro F.
Son of Portuguese immigrants, I was born in the former West Germany. At the age of 12, I returned to Portugal, taking up residence in Almada, the riverside city that Lisbon serves as a backdrop on the other bank of the Tagus. I attended the Architecture course at the University of Lisbon but decided to change the direction of my life by dedicating myself with my heart and soul to graphic design. In 2013, I embarked on a guiding project with my family, acting as Tour Manager and Driver Guide. For the last 10 years, I have specialized in guided tours of the Sanctuary of Fátima and the Village of the Three Shepherds. Additionally, I have developed a passion for street art and have become an expert guide in this vibrant and dynamic field, offering unique insights into Lisbon's urban art scene. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and German, I strive to provide enriching and memorable experiences for all my clients, combining my deep knowledge of Portugal's heritage and contemporary culture with a personalized and friendly approach.

I grew up in the UK, and have lived more than ten years in the UK and USA on overseas assignments. While I lived abroad, I started to realize how shallow my knowledge on Japanese culture, beliefs, history and food was for a Japanese resident, whenever I tried to respond to the questions my foreign friends had about Japan. For the last 20 years I’ve been doing a lot of domestic travel visiting areas that I’ve never been before, and studying history and culture, as well as enjoying Sake from all parts of Japan. From 2015, I intensified my studies of Japan, and in 2017, successfully received government certification as a qualified guide on Japan. Thinking it would help my studies as well as be beneficial for visitors to Japan, I opened a website titled “Rediscovering Japan” in 2016 to record my travels and share my experience with travelers to Japan. To date I have covered 25 of the 47 prefectures in Japan. I have found that rather than just visiting tourist spots at random, it is much more interesting if you have a clear theme of the places you are going to. I hope you'll enjoy the visits with me to rediscover Japan!

I left Canada in 1998 for a 6-month stay in Japan—and never looked back. After two decades immersed in the culture of Osaka, I’ve spent the last six years mastering Tokyo’s hidden corners. As a scholar and educator, I bridge the gap between Japan’s legendary history and its modern culture and culinary scenes. I don’t just show you the city; I give you 25 years of lived perspective.
