“Fantastic Private Tour of Hanoi with Rose – A Memorable Day Despite the Heat”

I had the pleasure of taking a private tour of Hanoi on June 15, guided by the wonderful Rose. Despite the intense summer heat, Rose made the day incredibly engaging, informative, and enjoyable. Her deep knowledge of Hanoi’s history and culture, paired with a warm and personable approach, made this a highlight of my visit to Vietnam. We covered many of Hanoi’s most iconic and meaningful sites: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and residence, the serene Temple of Literature, the insightful Museum of Ethnology, and the moving Hoa Lo Prison Museum (“Hanoi Hilton”). Rose also guided me through the vibrant Old Quarter and the peaceful grounds of Tran Quoc Pagoda. One unforgettable moment was sitting just steps away from the tracks on Hanoi Train Street (Kham Thien) as the train rushed by—a thrilling experience! We also strolled along the old railroad bridge over the Hong River near Dong Xuan Market, offering a unique perspective of the city. Throughout the day, Rose ensured we stayed refreshed with classic Hanoi culinary experiences: Banh Mi, Bun Cha (famously known as “Obama noodles”), sticky green rice with ice cream, and the original egg coffee shop—all delicious and perfectly timed. This tour struck the perfect balance between must-see landmarks, hidden gems, and local flavors. I highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for a thoughtful and well-paced introduction to Hanoi.

“Full day tour with Rose in Hanoi”

What a fantastic day with Rose, seeing the sites of Hanoi. We were picked up promptly in a clean, and very comfortable van with a friendly and excellent driver. We had already been in close contact with Rose to organise which sites to visit in the city of Hanoi. She was very time efficient, however we did not feel rushed at all. We visited Hoa Lo Prison, Temple of Literature, Train Street, street food in the Old Quarter, remnants of the B52 Bomber, some hidden alleyways and went to the famous Cafe Giang for our much anticipated, authentic Egg coffee experience !! We had an amazing lunch at Cha Ca Thang Long - so delicious and it is the best food we have eaten in Vietnam so far ! Rose is a highly experienced and professional tour guide of 15 years. Her excellent English made the day so enjoyable and memorable. Her knowledge of history, politics, culture and food is very impressive. She patiently answered all our questions and was interested in our background too. Her sense of humour made the day even more fun. She guided us across the incredibly busy roads and made us feel very comfortable at all times. We highly recommend yRose as a private tour guide for any area of Vietnam !
