Hello, it's nice to meet you! I'm originally from Australia but have lived in Aomori prefecture for 20 years. Needless to say, I love it here! Let's explore the history and beautiful nature of Aomori together. Depending on the time of year, we can also enjoy seasonal activities such as: Nebuta festival or cherry blossom viewing. And don't forget the local delicacies like: apples, corn and sake. If there's anything in particular you'd like to do, please let me know!
Speaking of food, as a vegetarian, I know that finding food can be difficult in the regional areas of Japan. I can advise you on where and what to eat.
I'm looking forward to showing you around my adopted home.
I can't work every Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday due to other commitments. However, feel free to contact me if you're interested in a tour on a day that's blocked on my calendar. I may be available!
Please note, I'm not usually available from mid October to the end of March.
“Perfect guide for a visit to Sannai Maruyama”
Thiis service is impeccable- our guide Vikki really hew her subject and made it come to life. We visited both the outside village and the museum both a must on a visit to this site. We really appreciated the private tour at a reasonable price that afforded us the luxury of visiting at our own pace. We highly recommend Vikki, her knowledge, professionalism and English as a first language made our day.

“Two Amazing Days in Aomori”
We had two days to explore Aomori. We wanted to go to Hirosaki and I contacted Vikki and made arrangements for the tour of Hirosaki for the second day. I mentioned that we were getting into Aomori early in the afternoon on the day before our tour and would she be available for a tour around Aomori. She was willing to meet us the day we arrived and take us to Sannai Maruyama - the Jomon Prehistoric World Heritage Site. What a wonderful site and Vikki was very knowledgeable with the site since she volunteers at the site. she gave us tidbits that most tour guides would not know. When we got back to Aomori, she took us to a shop to get the best Apple Pie in town and gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner that night. The Nepalese/Indian Restaurant was excellent. The next day she picked us up at our hotel and we spent the day in Hirosaki touring the Castle, the Samurai Houses, and going into a textile store. It was absolutely lovely, easy pace/not rushed. We even twisted her arm into joining us for a beer at the local microbrewery when we got back to Aomori. We will tour with Vikki again when we go back to Japan!
