I will pick you up at the Entebbe hotel and drive northeastwards to Murchison Falls National Park with a planned 2hr stop at Ziwa rhinos sanctuary for the rhino sighting. We will have lunch and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning, we shall go for a game drive in the park to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes and other wildlife. In the afternoon you will take a relaxing boat trip on the River Nile and here you will have a chance to see crocodiles, hippos and a range of rare birds. You will also see for yourself the point where River Nile joins lake Albert, one of the major highlights of this trip.
Visit the top of the falls where you will have spectacular views of Murchison falls along the Nile river.
After early morning breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale National Park. The drive will go through western Uganda’s major cities, including Hoima, Kyenjojo, and Fortportal. There will be a scheduled stopover for lunch along the way.
You will head to Kibale Forest immediately after breakfast to trek chimpanzees in their Forest home. If you’re lucky on the trek, you may encounter other different species of monkeys in kibale Forest. These include black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park will go through the famous fortportal crater lakes.
Your will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards we proceed to to the famous Kasenyi plains to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast Savannahs of the Albertine rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure. Expect to encounter Lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, and bush bucks. While spotting the big five in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day you may site leopards to make it big four.
After lunch, join the Kazinga channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. You will spot crocodiles, buffalos, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters.
On the way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for the tree climbing lions. Unlike their counterparts at the Kasenyi plains, the lions at Ishasha have found a way to climb the fig trees to enjoy the warm temperatures available in the park. While the sighting of the tree climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is worth a visit.
You will head to Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The National park guide will conduct the presentation covering what to expect during the trek and assign the gorilla trekking group during pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trekking, we shall drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
This is the day you will transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Mburo National Park. We shall come back to the lodge around 10:00pm for late dinner and overnight
After breakfast we shall head to the National park for a game drive. The wildlife to see include Zebras, Impalas, warthogs, Giraffes, and Elands among others. Later we shall retire back to the lodge to have lunch and relax or take a cycling trip to the nearby village.
This day we shall transfer to Entebbe with a planned stopover at the equator for souvenirs shopping, photography and take Coffe. Later we shall embark on our journey to Entebbe.
The Mabamba wetlands, located west of Entebbe, is one of the best and most convenient places to encounter the elusive shoebill and a prime birding site. After a few minutes in a small canoe, the papyrus reeds open up into the flat grassy wetland where shoebills are regularly sighted. The shoebills are most relaxed in the morning when they stork their main prey (fish or frogs) though they can be spotted all day. The shoebills May stand still for long periods awaiting the movements of their prey and then suddenly strike with astonishing speed.
After the Mabamba trek, you will drive back to the hotel to prepare for your flight. In the evening we shall drop off at Entebbe International Airport and depart to your next destination
