Cu Chi Tunnels - Dia Dao BEN DINH
After 1 hour 45' driving, Grab car will drop us at Cu Chi Tunnels - BEN DINH. We will take a walking tour which lasts for 1h30' or more into the site.
The Independence Palace
It was built between 1962 and 1966 by the South Vietnam government. On 30th April 1975, the North Vietnam Communist army took it over. It has been opened for visitors later. It has 4 floors and a bomb-bunker. We will spend 1 hour to explore the whole building.
The Saigon Central Post Office
The Saigon Central Post Office was built between 1886 and 1891, during which time it was modernized from an earlier building. Designed by architects Villedieu and Foulhoux, its exterior features a combination of European and Eastern architectural styles and has become a beloved landmark and symbol of Ho Chi Minh City.
Notre-Dame Cathedral of Saigon
Notre-Dame Cathedral of Saigon was built between 1877 and 1880 by the French Colonial Government in Indochina. It is intentionally similar to its namesake in Paris, as it was modeled after European cathedrals and built with French materials to reflect French colonial architecture in Vietnam.
Today, it has become a popular tourist spot in Saigon. We will not go inside the Church because it’s being renovated and not ready to be reopened for visitor.
The Opera House
Saigon Opera House was built in 1898 by the French architect – Eugene Ferret, following the “flamboyant” style of the French Third Republic. The theater is now a venue for many high profile events and cultural – entertainment activities of the city. You will take pictures from outside only.
The City Hall
It was the French colonial city hall built between 1898 and 1908. Its French builders drew inspiration from town halls in Europe that is why it was called Hotel de Ville of Saigon. The building was known as the City Hall of Saigon before 1975, now the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. You will take pictures from outside only.

I am an English speaking tour guide in Saigon who is specialized in Cu Chi Tunnels Trip. I spent 15 years taking tourists to that place every week. I created a historical video which explains the Vietnam War and the tunnels system. I play the video in the vehicle while we are going to the tunnel from the hotel; and the tourists enjoy it very much. Of course, I also do other tours as City tour, Mekong Delta…
