Overview
Today is a special cultural day as you will travel by boat from Chunga Langoon to Nyimba Island to meet with Batwa people, Zambia's first and indeginous people. Historically, the name Batwa is often associated with small, marginalized groups that tend to take on the language and culture of the larger neighboring group
Narration (information tip): The Batwa people may be one of the smallest and least regarded language groups in Zambia. In the Kafue flats outside Lochinvar National Park, they live on Nyimba Island and their main source of livelihood is fishing.
