InBuddies mountain tour
We are authentic local guides in love with Mendoza. It's not where, but with whom.
We take you on a vehicle tour through the Andes Mountains. We pick you up from your accommodation and drive along local roads until we reach the mountain villages, such as Cacheuta, Potrerillos and Vallecitos.
We share mate and local bakery on the trip. We prepare a menu with regional flavours to enjoy and share. Wine from our family-run boutique winery is part of our experience.
Meeting Point
traveller's accommodation
- We like to look for travellers by their accommodation, we think it's a nice touch to treat you and make the start of the experience simple for you and your companions. In case you prefer a meeting point, we suggest you to meet us at the gates of the General San Martin Park, at the intersection of Emilio Civit and Boulogne Sur Mer streets.
Cacheuta
Our first stop on the mountain is in the village of Cacheuta, there is a nice view of the foothills and a very picturesque suspension bridge to visit and take pictures. In this town there are shops with regional products, souvenirs, barbecue restaurants and a very popular water park.
Dique Potrerillos
Potrerillos is an amazing place to contemplate the foothills and the Andes Mountains. The dam allows us to enjoy a mirror of water in the middle of the mountain. We stop at the viewpoint to contemplate the landscape, drink mates and take pictures.
Vallecitos
Vallecitos is a provincial reserve where the base camps of the 4,000/5,000 and 6,000 metre high mountains are located. We drive up a dirt track to the San Antonio refuge. There is a short trail that leads us to a wooden bridge and underneath the Rio Blanco, which is a river of mineral water that emerges from deep in the Andes. We hiked to the Puma viewpoint at 2,700 meters to see the hills of the Cordón del Plata.
Lunch
After visiting the mountain, we have defined the place to enjoy a special lunch. The menu is adapted to your eating style. We work with Cabrita Café Garage, a local company with whom we have forged a bond to bring you delicious, fresh and quality food. We are passionate about conscious eating and we add our gourmet touch to give you an unforgettable lunch.

Tour Important Information
It is important that you let us know if you have any type of specific diet to make a menu according to your eating habits, as well as if you have any allergies or there are any foods that you do not like.
It's important that your experience is comfortable. To do this, we recommend:
In autumn/winter have shoes, jacket, gloves and warm hat, reusable water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, hand and lip cream, and a small backpack to carry your things.
In spring/summer it is always good to have a light jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, sun hat, reusable water bottle and your small backpack to carry your things.
Important message from the supplier
Reni and I are drivers and guides of the experience. We are available to tailor the experience according to the availability and preferences of each traveller, both the destinations and the duration of the experience. In this case we also adjust the budget of the experience.
For each experience we use our family vehicle, as it makes the cultural immersion more genuine. In case you would prefer us to rent a vehicle, we are at your disposal to do so. We work with a Toyota car rental service. We organise this at no extra cost for 3 or more travellers. If you contact us in time we can modify the number of participants of the experience, in case there are more than 5 travellers. There is the possibility of renting a vehicle to transport up to 9 travellers. If there are more than 9 passengers, we can rent two vehicles. In this case Reni drives one vehicle and I drive the other.
The experience is scheduled to start in the morning. If you prefer to change the starting time, we are at your disposal.
We take care of the menu. We enjoy local cuisine and make regional flavours part of the experience. We are experts in healthy, TACC-free, vegetarian, vegan and omnivorous food. If you would like the experience to include lunch in a restaurant, we are at your disposal to advise you and make the reservation. In the latter case the initial budget of the experience covers 50% of the final value of the restaurant bill. We can also arrange a barbecue on the mountain in the spring/summer seasons at no extra cost.
