Tokyo metropolitan government building has two free observation decks at a hight of 202 meters, on both north and south building.
From the observatory you can see many landmarks in Tokyo such as Roppongi Hills, Opera City, Tokyo tower, Tokyo Dome, Shinjuku gyoen park and so on.
If weather allows mt. Fuji can be seen.
To get the observetory you will take an express elevator from the first floor of each buildings.
The North observation deck is open until 11pm which allows you to see a great night view too!

North Observation Deck: 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
South Observation Deck: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Entry ends 30 minutes before closing
Closed:
South Observatory: First and third Tuesday of every month
North Observatory: Second and fourth Monday of every month
*When one of the days listed above falls on a holiday, the observatory will be open on the holiday but closed the following day.
*The observatories will be closed during the New Year’s holiday season (29-31 December and 2-3 January) and on May 14, 2016 for inspection. Note: the observatories are open on January 1.
