Beautiful Autumn Leaves
On Oct 31 I guided a guest to Nikko from Tokyo. In Futarasan Shrine, we could enjoy viewing beautifully changing colors of autumn leaves.
Chinowa Kuguri
From the gate. tanzaku （long, narrow cards） on which a wish was written were hung up on small round kaya-grass. We walked through the hoop like writing the number 8. This is called "Chinowa kuguri." This means "wash off the dirt of your body and ward off evil spirits."
Three wise monkeys in Nikko Toshogu Shrine
You see 8 panels of the three wise monkeys. Among them this is the most popular three monkeys -- " See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."
Asakusa Nightscape
Whe returning to Asakusa, we could enjoy a nightscape including Tokyo Sky Tree and Asahi Beer Company.
