Have you ever tried 'Sushi'? In Japan, you can try various kinds of 'Sushi'.
This is a typical dish of 'Nigiri'. Some kinds of sushi, handformed, vinegared rice topped with a slice of raw fish are set on a plate and served. You can see: tuna, flounder, squid, sea bream, prawn, egg, salmon roe and conger eel.
There are many sushi restaurants all over Japan and some of them have 'conveyor belt system', where you can eat sushi at cheaper price. You can choose the plates you like which are served on the conveyor belt. (The different design of each plate tells you the price of them.)
scallop, prawn, sea urchin, fatty tuna, abalone....
This is 'Temari Zushi' literally means 'Ball Shaped Sushi'. You can buy some, set in a small lunch box with some 'Okazu' (side dishes) at department stores and so on. They are so cute. You can enjoy seeing and eating them.
At the fish markets near fishing ports, you can choose sushi you like and make a special plate for you: sea urchin, fatty tuna, blowfish, scallop, and blackthroat seaperch.
In Japan, salmon is the most popular sushi among children. My favorite sushi is scallop! I hope that you can enjoy sushi and find your favorite one!
